Capítulo 3: Chapter 3: A light Jog.

There isn't any way to open the window, so the only way out over here is by breaking it. The one downside to that is the moment I break the window every zombie around is gonna come crawling and walking towards the noise.

That means dozens will be shambling towards me, not including the ones from the front who will no doubt hear it.

I also have no shirt on so the chances of injury will be pretty high just getting out of here.

I pause for a moment before looking at the closest zombie and then back at the window.

After another moment of thought I put down the rebar and with great difficulty I pick up the zombie, dropping it as I almost fall over.

I was not prepared for how heavy that was, it looked skinny and light, but it was anything but.

Note to self, corpses are heaver than expected.

Without another thought and with a wider stance I barely manage to pick up the corpse and with a mighty heave I drop it against the window causing it to fall through with a big crash.

As I thought, as soon as the window shattered the zombies all started shambling towards me.

Picking up the rebar I break the sharp parts off the window to make it easier for me to go through, then I climb over the corpse and fall 3 feet to the ground.

As soon as I am on the ground I start running towards the houses, dodging stray hands and whacking heads that came too close.

The sounds I made have caused the zombies to group up, making it harder to run around them and causing me to make several detours to avoid trapping myself.

After several minutes of running around and hitting the dead I finally make it to the houses and check the nearest one for an unlocked door.

With the zombies slowly shambling closer and new ones arriving every moment, every second is precious time.

"Goddamn it." The front door to this house isn't unlocked and there's no way I'm going through a broken window so I start running around the house.

"Thank God" there is an open window on the first floor thankfully so I jump up and with most of my remaining strength I pull myself up and through the window.

"There's no time to rest." I mutter to myself as I close the window.

I'm in a bedroom at the moment, and dried blood on the walls, floor, and bed indicate at least one person has died here. The door was locked, so it's safe to assume there's at least one zombie in this house, possibly more so I have to tread with caution.

Before I open the closed door I check the closet for a shirt or towel to wipe off the blood that has splattered all over me and literally anything to wear to make sure I don't fucking die from a bite or stray scratch.

There are a few things in the closet, a white towel that I immediately ruined and turned red before throwing it on the ground, a black dress which I ignored, I'm not crossdressing no matter how desperate I am, and a black hoodie which I immediately put on.

The hoodie is a bit small, it's sleeves reaching just above my wrists but it was pretty thick so it might save me from scratches and grapples if they don't have like super strength or something that can rip through it.

A bite will definitely go through it though, so I'm not completely safe from them yet.

There's a big cartoony heart in the middle of the sweater winking and blowing a kiss, and ill probably get hotter in this weather, but the protection definitely outweighs the cons.

Already feeling more confident I grip my rebar and open the bedroom door, not at all surprised to find a zombie on the other side which has been banging on the door for the past few minutes, it's throat is cut, it was probably murdered at the start of this, and its hands were bound with rope in front of it.

"Definitely murdered."

I backed up towards the closet, it followed after, tits flapping about as it dragged its seemingly broken leg behind it.

I wind up my arms, and hit it with all my weight beind the attack.

I hit the zombie on the side of the face, the rebar going through, crushing it's right side up to the nose where all my momentum was finally halted by the bone.

With the brain mostly destroyed, the zombie collapses by the bed and yet again the rebar gets stuck.

"I definitely need to find a better weapon."

I can't help but say as I yank it out of the zombie and continue through the door.

There is two more bedrooms and a bathroom that didn't have any zombies in them, but there was another one in the kitchen which I quickly took care of.

With the house now cleared I quickly search and look the house finding a small first aid kit, a brown school bag and some knives which I put in the bag, I might be able to make a makeshift spear if I find some rope, before I leave through the back and make my way to the next house.

All this took about 5 minutes, and as I made my way to the next house the zombies from earlier finally reached the house I was just in, and as they started banging on the door i hurried my pace while crouching as low as possible to lessen the chance of getting caught, I decided to skip a few homes down so I don't accidentally attract them if I drop or break something.

This house had a bike in its basement, a rusty old mountain bike that I just know will be a pain in the ass to ride, but it's better than walking everywhere.

I'm safe, for now, but I need to decide what I want to do before I leave, I need a plan.

I'm sure there are other survivors out there somewhere, but the real question is if I want to form a group, or join one. I also have plans in my head for a killdozer, and I can make one if I get all the materials together.

I can also settle down wherever I want, and build fortifications to my liking. For that I will probably need people to help build it and defend it unless I want some raiders to attack and take it over. Not to mention that it'll take fucking forever to build a fully self sufficient base if it's just myself.

Finally getting tired of standing in the middle of the house, I go to the master bedroom with the queen sized bed before i jump onto it, its not like Its mine, before I get back up.

If I want to go to sleep I need to make sure nothing will be able to ambush me or attack me in my sleep after all.

The windows already closed, and on closer inspection, locked.

To fully fortify my position I slowly lift the mattress off the bed before pushing the bedframe against the door. Finally I put the mattress back on the frame before falling onto the bed again.

Today has been horribly exhausting, and now I just want to sleep.
