XANDER'S POV

"Where is Vinnandra?" Xander asked Sephina, peering at the girl suspiciously. Since two days ago when the Master of Sorcery had requested for Vinnandra, she had been… missing.

Not exactly missing, but while she was in the castle and resided at the female quarters of the guest house, her presence had been invisible.

If Xander didn't know any better, he would have thought she was avoiding him.

"Don't you think it weird you ask me of where she is? If anything, you of all people should know the answer to that." His cousin sassed back.

She was right, but Xander didn't bother telling her that in the chaos of his time strung days, the few times he had managed to visit Vinnandra's dwellings, she wasn't around.

"Tell me Lenklock," Sephina continued in a patronizing manner. "Is your act of rebelling against your father again?"
