John's words went in one ear and out the other. Ethan turned his head and merely stared out into the distance.
It had been another false alarm. He couldn't remember how many times this had happened. However, even though the women were all false alarms, instead of growing tired, Ethan felt even more determined.
It didn't matter where she was or what she was doing. He would find her no matter what.
"And I heard that His Majesty has ordered your immediate return to the Palace. It seems that the envoy will be arriving within the day."
Ethan burst into laughter when he heard John's report.
He knew very well why the Palace was calling for his return, but Ethan was not so generous as to do what they asked.
