'What is this feeling?'
The 10 year old boy rubbed his arms like someone who was cold. Since the past few days, he has often felt this kind of feeling. A feeling he couldn't define or explain.
"We've arrived, oh right, I will be a little bit late picking you up. So wait at McD first later."
"Okay, mom."
The boy got out of the car and immediately entered the white building which looming over the sky. However, before he had taken five steps, Rijal's feet stopped when his eyes caught the figure of a girl who was sitting calmly in the lobby.
"Oh, hi there."
Aruna's sweet voice floated, greeting the boy she had been waiting for a long time, but she acted as if all of this was just a coincidence.
"Why are you here, miss?" Rijal's voice clearly carried a trace of confusion, unfortunately, the boy didn't realize that his current reaction was something Aruna really enjoyed.
'Now I understand why he used to enjoy this kind of game so much. Knows everything, but pretends not to know anything.'
Aruna shrugged her shoulders, then answered casually, "Chasing you."
Hearing her answer, fear spread throughout the boy's body. Every cell in his body sent a strong signal telling him to get out of there, he took a step back, ready to run away at any time when the situation really required it.
"Ha ha ha, you are really very cute. Don't worry, I'm just teasing you. This is a tutoring place, so of course I'm here for tutoring."
As if she didn't care about the boy's presence, Aruna looked back at the brochure in her hand carefully. Observe each letter and picture printed on the bright red paper.
In fact, she wasn't pretending that much. Even though her intention and motivation for coming here was to meet or at least see Rijal, she had also have set certain boundaries.
'After all, this boy is still only 10 years old. It doesn't feel right to pursue him the same way as I did in 2024.'
'Well, even though my body is also a 12 years old kid, however inside, I am already 26 years old. I would really be a criminal if I approached this boy with my impure heart. :')'
'For now, at least in this life, I have to be content with just looking at him from a safe distance.'
Rijal also looked confused, not knowing what to do. When he regained his sense of security, he picked up the book that had fallen because he was so shocked.
"Eh, Rijal has arrived? Wait a minute, Mister Andi said earlier that his tire was flat, so he'll be a bit late."
The child nodded his head towards the woman who poked her head out slightly from behind the door, then sat on the chair opposite Aruna. His current appearance lookes like an obedient puppy, frightened because it was not with its master.
"Have you been studying here for a long time?"
Without taking her eyes off from the brochure, Aruna broke the silence between the two of them.
"Quite a bit."
"Can you recommend me a good math teacher?"
Without warning, Aruna raised her head and showed the sweetest smile she had. This succeeded in making the 10 year old boy immediately lower his head.
'He is really cute.'
"Mrs. Bunga." His muttering was very soft.
But Aruna didn't mind it, she was satisfied enough with their current situation. Where she can sit with him. Even though there wasn't any interaction, she still enjoyed every second of this moment.
Or more precisely, this moment she really missed. Because before waking up in 2010, their communication was really very bad. Until as simple as sitting together were impossible for them.
"Okay, thanks for the recommendation."
Aruna once again focusing on her brochure, but this time, she hummed a few tunes which indicated that she was in a very good mood. A habit that the 23-year-old Rijal has actually really know it. When Aruna started to be busy with her own world while humming, this girl was 90% happy.
"You look so happy, Miss."
In an instant, the sound that came from Aruna's mouth stopped. This time, it was no longer Rijal who was attacked, but she herself.
There was a long pause before the girl slowly raised her head and looked at the small face in front of her. The eyes looked so innocent, looking at her with the same eyes as the 23 year old man looked at her. Full of curiosity, full of interest. Lulling Aruna deeper into his arms.
"Am I?" A smile appeared on the girl's pink lips again.
The boy nodded his head hesitantly, "You are not?"
"I am, I'm so happy... to be able to meet and sit here with you."
Aruna's honest answer made the boy goes silent, but this time he didn't look away. The boy continued to stare at those two eyes that radiated warmth, as if he was enjoying the glow of their warmth.
"Aruna, have you finished reading the brochure? I have finished your registration here, now we just need to arrange a schedule and choose your tutor."
This moment stopped when Aruna's mother came out of one of the rooms and invited her to come in. Aruna straightened her clothes before following her mother's steps.
"See you." She said silently towards Rijal.
In this life, Aruna wants to keep this person's existence as a secret from everyone. She wanted the moment between the two of them to be a moment that only the two of them knew and owned, she didn't want to invite or allow anyone in.
Because she knew better than anyone, the more people who could enter this secret beautiful garden, the higher the possibility that this garden would be damaged by them. Whether it's intentional or not.
Learning from her past experience at that time, she now chooses to keep Rijal as a secret. The most beautiful secret she cherished.
Rijal nodded. In a second, without realizing it, his eyes returned to the chair where Aruna had been sitting. There he found a red brochure left on a chair. The same brochure that Aruna had been holding tightly. The brochure looked quite tattered and ugly, but for some reason he had a very strong urge to take it. It was as if the paper had magical powers and tempted this boy to come closer.
"Oh, hi Rijal, are you here? Sorry, I'm late. Let's go to class."
Rijal's chain of thoughts was broken, he muttered softly then stood up from his place, ready to follow his tutor's steps into the classroom. However, his feet suddenly stopped, and as fast as lightning, he turned around to take the brochure that had been hypnotizing him.
A small smile could be seen briefly appearing on his handsome face.
