The Jovevski castle in the middle of the island kingdom of Ogronevia was ablaze with laughter, music and joy.

The capital itself had held its own party to commemorate their king coming of age, their sentiments about their new ruler only filling with positivity.

In about six months or so, he had helped in improving conditions in the slums, given knighthood positions to mere commoners and the talks of free basic education for the public was spreading in the streets.

None of them were even able to be angry about the increased taxes, as the heavy load of that decree was on the nobility for once.

For many corners of the kingdom, everything appeared like there was going to be a light at the end of a long and dark tunnel. The future looked brighter.

This was different for the Grand Dukedom of the North, however. Its surrounding towns and its only large city were quiet for the night. The province as silent as a cemetery.
