Sebastian waited as the Marrowghast sentinel remained outside.

"Poor Raigos. I bet you never imagined you would be reduced to a mere test subject."

The minutes dragged on, and Sebastian could do nothing but wait. After about half an hour, though, the rune master relaxed.

The ring's enchantment held, keeping the miasma at bay and protecting the undead from its deadly effects.

He decided to let the sentinel remain outside for a while longer to test the duration of the enchantment, of course, knowing that how long he lasted depended on how much mana he had.

Sebastian was exhausted, but the ring's enchantment still worked its magic. Holding off the effects of a tier-3 fanged creature's miasma was really challenging.

The problem was that it was draining him. And it didn't just drain him a little, it drained him a lot. He could feel his power draining as the ring kept protecting his undead against the miasma.
