Capítulo 15: Shimura
A few days later, Iruka was in the Hokage's office. He had just received permission to enter and report on the status of the class he was responsible for. Iruka was in a good mood, evident on his face, so much so that Hiruzen, seeing him enter, could easily discern it.
- Good morning, Hokage-sama,- he said, bowing slightly to the Hokage as he approached the old Sarutobi, then stopping about a meter away. - Sir. I'm here to report on my students, -Iruka continued.
- The majority of the students are performing very well, some excelling in more specific areas than others, showcasing their abilities. I'm here to mainly discuss the first three tests they took, which included the written exam, shuriken throwing, and taijutsu combat. Three students scored the maximum marks in the written exam, Uchiha Sasuke, Hyuuga Hinata, and Shikamaru Nara. -
He handed the summary report of the tests to the Hokage as he continued, now moving on to the second test.
- In the second test, the standout students were Uchiha Sasuke, Uchiha Sae, and Shimura Ryo. They all hit all the targets, but the former managed to hit them all while in motion. -
Again, he handed over the test report containing what the other participants did and how they performed.
- In the final test, that's where I was most surprised. Sasuke, Naruto, Kiba, Sae, and Ryo were the ones who stood out. Naruto still has much to learn, but his rivalry with Sasuke motivates him to keep training. Their taijutsu is acceptable for third-year students. -
Hiruzen, upon hearing this, raised an eyebrow. "Naruto is doing well. I have some ANBU keeping me informed of his condition periodically. I'm pleased with that."
- Kiba's family taijutsu is very lethal, and he can deliver rapid blows, but he hasn't fully mastered the style yet, making him predictable. - Sarutobi understood that the Inuzuka developed later since they had to fight with their partners, the dogs, to draw out 100% of the family's fighting art.
- However. - Iruka's voice was stronger at this point as he handed over the document with the compilation of what had happened in the last exam.
- Uchiha Sae and Shimura Ryo, their taijutsu is already at a high level for the academy. Ryo even showed that he learned the basics of Uchiha taijutsu during his fights in the test, even though he was caught off guard by Kiba's blow that hit him hard, he still fought on par with Sae, while she wasn't using her Sharingan. However, as soon as she activated it, he gave up the fight. His wound had reopened, and he lost a lot of blood. -
Hiruzen spent a few moments reading the reports of the combat and how they unfolded, hoping that if Ryo were to show any talent, it would be in the family's ninjutsu. However, he sighed as he looked up.
- That ninjutsu isn't really ninjutsu in the end. Without it, Ryo won't be able to control the golden coins. No one born into the secondary Shimura family has done anything with it for a long time. The last user of the golden coins was during the First Great War, precisely because that person didn't do anything yet. -
He knew that Ryo would be safe since he hadn't shown any talent in controlling the golden coins yet. But Hiruzen didn't know that Ryo not only had the talent but also had what was necessary to control them: the Shimura secondary family's bloodline limit, Jiton, to control the liquid metal of the golden coins.
Elsewhere, underground, surrounded by seals upon seals, a ninja appeared in front of a desk. The place was dark, but dim lights illuminated it. The ninja knelt down and spoke.
- Danzo-sama, here's the report on the boy Shimura Ryo. -
Danzo looked at it while reading the report made by the ANBU under his command. It showed some activities that Ryo had done during the days and also talked about Ryo and the golden coin. However, what was there was more about how Ryo played with the coin like shurikens and then went to retrieve it. Reading this, Danzo let out a long sigh.

He knew that there was no point in taking the coins since it was linked to the blood of the bloodline limit, they had to have both at a molecular level so that the coins could be manipulated, and not even he with the scientists could do something like that.
- His talent went to taijutsu, then? Not entirely bad, but it won't be useful for us. -
He read the report of the combat and was surprised that they had taught him the basics of Uchiha taijutsu. However, it was of no use to him. He soon tossed the report aside.
- Stop the investigation on him. There's nothing useful for us. The Root needs great ninja talented in more than one area. -
In another part of the city, Ryo, in his room, practiced manipulating the golden coin, unaware of the conversation two powerful old men had had about him. Already able to control it as an extension of his body, he had begun to conduct more experiments with it, such as covering his fist with the coin.
"This is incredible. If I put the necessary amount of chakra into the coin, it will melt and create a golden bed on my hand. This would make my attacks or defenses much more resistant and strong. The only problem is that I can't do this for too long."
He then mentally commanded the golden glove to flow onto his arm, covering it with the metallic substance, and then he took a Kunai and threw it upwards. With the chakra he had infused into the Kunai, it shot towards his arm, and when the Kunai hit the layer of golden metal, it ricocheted, embedding itself in the ceiling of the room.
Ryo looked at it with a smile but a slight headache from chakra exhaustion. When this happened, the metal on his arm receded, turning back into a small golden ryou coin, and he fell backward onto the floor.
He was still injured in his chest and back, and with that, he had earned three days of rest from Iruka to fully heal his body. And of course, Ryo wouldn't let this opportunity pass without doing anything.
"Today's the day I sell the seal scrolls I made and get more money to make more of them, and more money after that."
With a wicked smile on his face, he waited for a few hours for his chakra to return to an acceptable level and then prepared himself while appearing in an alley near the ninja tool market. Using the henge, he transformed into someone from his old world and then went to do business.
For him, the Henge is a strange jutsu. Even though he was still a child, he could have the body of an adult as long as he had chakra, and that was convenient for what he wanted to do, but not for combat since even being scratched would undo the transformation.
In the end, it wasn't as complicated as Ryo had thought. He found a non-ninja merchant and offered him storage scrolls. He had two that could store a good amount of items. They weren't the best scrolls, but they served a purpose. In the end, Ryo walked away with a total of 6000 ryous, selling the two he had for 3000 each.
With that, he soon spent on other scrolls and inks to do the same thing. Of course, he bought 4 sets in four different shops, now being able to make four more scrolls, and still had 4000 ryous left in his pocket.
