Capítulo 576: World government's despicable plan!!!

On a new morning, the news gulls flew across the seas, carrying the latest news of the day.

Soon, about a hundred newspapers fluttered down from the sky towards the people waiting on the islands below.

In the past, these news gulls wouldn't have done this, as it was their professional duty to exchange news for payment. But now, with the world's turmoil, they no longer had time to collect payments one by one—they needed to deliver the latest news to every corner of the seas as quickly as possible.

The Navy Headquarters was one of their primary delivery points.

Papers rained down from the sky.

Standing on the balcony of the Navy Headquarters, Sabo reached out and caught one of the newspapers falling from above. He opened it and quickly scanned the contents.

"Hmm?"

As Sabo saw what was written, his expression immediately changed. His face grew more and more serious as he read, and after confirming that he wasn't mistaken, he hurriedly grabbed the newspaper and rushed inside the headquarters.

"Mr. Garp, Mr. Sengoku, look at this newspaper!"

Sabo hurried into the office, anxiously addressing Sengoku and Garp.

"What news is in the paper?"

Hearing the urgency in Sabo's voice, Sengoku could sense his emotional agitation and became very curious about what could have made Sabo, whom he held in high regard, so unsettled.

As Sabo handed the newspaper to Sengoku, he hastily said, "The World Government is planning a public execution of a group of dangerous individuals."

Hearing this, Sengoku and Garp were even more puzzled. Such an event shouldn't have caused Sabo to react so strongly.

As Garp tried to make sense of it...

Sengoku, who had taken the paper from Sabo, had barely glanced at it when he suddenly shot up from his chair.

"How dare those bastards do this!"

"Sengoku, what's going on?"

Garp was even more confused by Sengoku's sudden outburst.

"The World Government has secretly captured the people from Foosha Village and my hometown—they're planning to execute them publicly."

Sengoku clenched his fists, his eyes burning with fury.

"What are those guys thinking?"

Garp's usually calm eyes were now fixed on the newspaper in Sengoku's hand.

At that moment, the office door opened again, and Rosinante hurried in.

"Mr. Sengoku, the people we sent to the East Blue have reported that Mr. Garp's grandson and the villagers of Foosha Village were taken by the World Government ahead of time."

Rosinante's expression was also grim. After deciding to rebel against the World Government, Sengoku, who knew them well, had ordered Rosinante to secretly protect the families of high-ranking Navy officers. But it seemed the World Government had moved even faster.

...

In the skies above Wano.

Newspapers slowly drifted down from the sky.

Many people looked up in surprise at the falling papers, reaching out to catch them.

Suddenly, a hand appeared out of nowhere and grabbed one of the papers.

Many people noticed this and turned their gazes toward the figure.

The person holding the newspaper in midair was none other than Nicholas.

Those present all looked up at Nicholas, especially the people of Wano, whose faces were filled with excitement.

They knew that it was because of Nicholas that they could enjoy such a good life now.

With everyone's gaze upon him, Nicholas remained calm. He opened the newspaper and quickly scanned it.

His attention was immediately drawn to a large black-and-white photograph on the front page, with only a small amount of accompanying text.

The photo showed a bloodied young boy being pinned to the ground by two masked CP0 agents in white cloaks. Beside him were several ordinary people who had also been captured, their faces filled with panic.

Many people who saw this edition of the newspaper were puzzled. They couldn't understand who this person in the photo was, someone who could make the front-page headlines, a spot usually reserved for the most significant figures of the seas.

Staring at the photo of Monkey D. Luffy, Nicholas's expression was emotionless.

Since the Five Elders released this news in such a manner, they would likely soon try to contact the Revolutionary Army and the Navy. After all, both Dragon's influence over the Revolutionary Army and Garp's influence over the Navy were substantial.

The World Government was likely planning to use this as leverage in negotiations with the Revolutionary Army and the Navy.

Crack—

With a burst of electric sparks, the newspaper in Nicholas's hand turned to ash and scattered in the wind.

...

In the seas near Wano.

The Revolutionary Army's fleet advanced steadily through the raging waves. Even the fiercest winds around the fleet seemed to calm.

Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, stood motionless at the bow of the ship, his green cloak billowing in the wind.

Releasing the newspaper he was holding, allowing it to be swept away by the wind, Dragon's gaze remained deep and calm.

"Dragon, what do we do? Those bastards have captured Luffy!"

Ivankov anxiously asked Dragon.

The Revolutionary Army had clearly received the news of the World Government's actions, so Ivankov was very worried. After all, Luffy was Dragon's only son.

"The time has come. We proceed according to plan."

Dragon murmured to himself, then looked up at the outline of the island gradually appearing in the distance.

"The Revolutionary Army is here."

"Faster than expected."

Nicholas sat in his chair, not surprised at all.

After all, the people most eager to overthrow the World Government were those who had been oppressed by it or harbored deep resentment toward it.

But now that the Revolutionary Army had arrived, it meant that everything was in place—the final assault was imminent.

About ten seconds later.

A gust of blue wind burst into the hall, and from within it, the figure of Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, slowly emerged.

Just as Dragon appeared, a loud ringing suddenly echoed in the hall.

Dragon glanced at Kizaru before looking at Nicholas.

Under Dragon's gaze, Nicholas retrieved a Den Den Mushi with a World Government design from nearby and placed it on the table in front of him.

Ring ring

Both men looked at the Den Den Mushi, wondering why the World Government was contacting Nicholas.

But Nicholas didn't answer; he simply looked at the ringing Den Den Mushi with a calm expression.

"Dragon, what are you planning to do about Luffy?" Nicholas suddenly asked.

"A revolution that changes the world always requires sacrifices."

"..."

"..."

Hearing Dragon's reply, Nicholas raised an eyebrow.

It seemed that throughout history, those who achieved great things rarely cared much about personal relationships.

[AN- Don't worry, he loves luffy like a father does but doesn't want to show that because it will attract unnecessary ambitious people to harm luffy]
