The workshop basement was silent, save for the quiet movements of Rlyis and Eno as they made their final adjustments to the Semi-Spirit Mystic Construct.
Lassim stood nearby, arms crossed, watching as the two worked after they spent the last few days repeatedly planning and refinding various designs before finally implementing them inside the prototype.
The unique lightning construct stood motionless on the platform in the center of the room. The construct's metallic body gleamed under the cold lights that lit up the basement.
It stood in a fairly standard, but unique looking humanoid shape, broad-shouldered and about seven feet tall. Its angular features reminiscent of the robust Thick-body constructs Eno and Rlyis had crafted earlier but with more aerodynamic architecture and sturdier, more advanced metal alloys to protect the array lines.
HUGE THANKS to so many new powerstone voters and the ever consistent daily powerstone voters as well in the last 24 hours! Thank you to Tinashe_Ndhlela, Sicklestick, Jhun_Valera, Jamesh22, Mitchell_Scyoc, SenorBone, evernightluv, TVA, and Mugeni_Richard! You're all awesome and I really appreciate your support for my story!
Spirit Quartz=Auracite as of yesterday's chapter. Hopefully that's not confusing but the Nexarians don't know it's called Auracite. Only the Kharthi residents, like the abyssal assassin I introduced, do. They will probably find out in a future chapter the mineral's true name, but expect me to keep calling it Spirit Quartz for a little bit longer. I hope you'll see how yesterday's chapter helped gives away the clues for why this construct would behave this way. Thanks for reading!
