Capítulo 3: Prologue (Part 3)

[POV AQUILES VIRIDIUM]

The answer came in a peculiar way; God simply extended his hand forward and touched Aquiles' forehead with his index finger, causing a vast catalog of abilities to appear in his mind. Each ability displayed its details and a brief description of how it worked; this extensive list showed all the power options he had available to choose from.

Impressed by the colossal number of available abilities, Aquiles couldn't contain his reaction and exclaimed, "Wow, it's an incredibly extensive list of powers!"

With a patience that seemed inexhaustible, God nodded, "Take your time to carefully examine your options. The space we are in exists beyond time, and even if you spend trillions of years here, not even a second will have passed outside!"

Faced with the promise of unlimited time to ponder his choices, Aquiles settled on the ground and began to read the abilities and descriptions one by one. Whenever he found a power he would like to have, he mentally noted its name and continued reading. Thus, a time equivalent to a few days passed, but even as time went on, Aquiles did not feel the slightest bit tired or even a hint of sleepiness.

After the equivalent of a few days had passed and Aquiles had read and reread the abilities several times, he shifted his gaze towards God, who was looking at him, and broke the silence surrounding them, asking in a polite tone, "God, do you allow me to ask some questions?"

God's response came calmly, "Feel free."

Aquiles took a deep breath before proceeding with his question, "My first question is about the ability {Gift of Healing}. Does it only work on humans, or could it also heal animals?"

"You can employ the {Gift of Healing} to heal anyone, including any species of animal, from a mere insect to a majestic dragon, but the amount of Mana spent for each individual will vary," God replied simply.

"My second question is, once the ability is used, do I still need to maintain physical contact for it to continue healing my target?" Aquiles asked after considering the uses this ability would have on a battlefield in healing soldiers.

"Once you are in direct contact with the individual and you use the ability, your Mana will be drained immediately upon activation of the ability, and no, you do not need to maintain physical contact for the healing effect to continue until the target is completely healed!" God explained simply.

"Could the {Gift of Healing} ability heal a birth defect?" Aquiles inquired, Tyrion Lannister's image, born with his Dwarfism, was in his mind.

"Yes, just as an amputated limb, poorly developed limb, and any other defect can also be healed by this ability!" God confirmed, and a smile began to light up Aquiles' face as he pondered the possibilities that this ability created for him.

"This ability is marked with Passive/Active, does that mean it counts as one or two abilities?" Aquiles questioned.

"Just one. Although it has both a passive and an active effect, it's still the same ability," God spoke with patience and at the same time in an obvious tone.

"I see, that's very good... Now my question is about the active abilities; in the description, it says that Passive abilities do not consume Mana, but Active abilities do, so how will I know how much Mana the Active abilities consume?" Aquiles inquired.

God replied simply: "Mana consumption can vary. Let's use the {Gift of Healing} ability as an example. Two wounds of different sizes, on individuals of different sizes, or even wounds of different severity would consume different amounts of Mana to heal. As for the amount, when you activate your Active abilities, you will feel the Mana from your reservoir being spent. Over time, you will come to understand accurately the limits of your Mana reservoir."

"Is it possible to increase this Mana reservoir?" Aquiles probed with a glimmer of hope; he knew that if he could increase the amount of Mana, he could use the active abilities more often, greatly enhancing his strength.

"There are two ways. The first way is through training, as you deplete your Mana by using your abilities and then wait for your Mana to refill your reservoir repeatedly. Like a muscle under constant strain, your Mana reservoir will slowly expand to meet your needs. Unlike a muscle, it will not regress if you stop training. The second way is if you are willing to create a Mana Heart!" God explained with a slightly negative tone when mentioning the second way, causing Aquiles to raise an eyebrow in doubt.

"If I'm willing? Of course, I'm willing to create this so-called Mana Heart. But how do I do that?" Aquiles questioned with obvious eagerness in his voice. He knew that Mana would be indispensable for the growth of his strength and was willing to do anything to gain more power.

"You do not currently have the capability or the materials to create one. Later, in due time, I will take you to a place that holds the knowledge of how to create a Mana Heart!" God spoke with a tone that left no room for negotiation.

"Alright... My other question is about the {Voice of Nature} ability. It allows the user to communicate with animals, and we humans are also a type of animal. Does that mean I can use this ability with other humans?" Aquiles asked hopefully. If it were possible, it would greatly facilitate his life.

"You can use {Voice of Nature} to communicate telepathically with other humans in the same way you do with animals. However, the ability to influence them to obey your orders will not work, given the complexity of the human intellect." God replied, but this didn't disappoint Aquiles.

"My last question is about the maximum distance that {Voice of Nature} allows me to communicate with animals telepathically." Aquiles made his final inquiry.

"As long as you have visual contact with the animal, you can use telepathy to communicate, no matter how far away the animal is. But if you don't have visual contact, then it's 20 meters. I see you're interested in this ability, but I wouldn't choose it if I were you," God affirmed the last part in a negative tone.

Aquiles tilted his head slightly to the side, doubtful. "Wouldn't choose it? Why not?" Aquiles asked in a curious tone of voice. "The ability to communicate with animals and even with humans seems like a very useful skill."

"Surely it's a useful skill, but the fifth ability I'll give you can achieve the same effect with the right knowledge and training, and that would make you waste one of the abilities you've chosen." God explained gently, and that made Aquiles immediately give up on that ability. Aquiles went back to examining the abilities and, after a few minutes, he chose a different skill and added it to his mental list of abilities.

Aquiles continued asking more and more questions to God, and He answered most of them, but often also informed Aquiles that He couldn't answer others. They continued talking for almost an hour before Aquiles decided on the abilities he would choose.

"I appreciate you clarifying my doubts and warning me about my poor choices!" Aquiles thanked as he stood up from the ground, making a slight bow to God.

After finishing his bow, Aquiles continued speaking: "God, I've made my choices. Given the circumstances in 'Game Of Thrones', where poisoning and diseases are constant threats, I consider the {Poison Manipulation} and {Mastery of Diseases} skills indispensable to ensure my survival. As for the other 2 abilities, I'll choose {Gift of Healing} and {Extreme Human}!" Aquiles had chosen these skills because he wanted to cover all the points that left him vulnerable to death.

After Aquiles chose his powers, God asked, "Are you sure these are the powers you want? You won't be able to change or alter any of them afterward!" Aquiles didn't hesitate, nodding in confirmation with absolute confidence.

God then said, "Since you've already decided on your 4 abilities, the last power I'll add to the list is the {Lord of Magic} ability. Magic is the power that governs that world, and as long as you can acquire the knowledge or training, you'll be able to use all kinds of powers from that world!"

Aquiles was stunned by the magnitude of the possibility. He couldn't help but express his disbelief: "So, you're saying that if I acquire the necessary knowledge, I could even replicate the power of the 'Skinchangers,' the 'Children of the Forest,' or even the 'Blood Mages' thanks to this ability?"

"Yes, those powers and many others like, for example, control over the elements and nature around you. As long as you acquire the knowledge or develop it with practice and training, everything will be possible with magic, provided you have enough Mana!" God confirmed in a calm tone.

"You can't just give me all the necessary knowledge? From what I've read in the books, many forms of magic have been lost over time, including the secrets of Valyrian Magic!" Aquiles pleaded, realizing that this was an ability with overwhelming potential, but to reach that potential, knowledge was indispensable.

"If I give you the knowledge and the ability, the level of that ability will eventually evolve, far exceeding the power level of the world, which would result in punishment for me, and you wouldn't be able to be sent to that world. But don't worry, I have a way that will allow you to obtain all the knowledge you need." God spoke in a calm tone, reassuring Aquiles somewhat. "Since the world of 'Game Of Thrones' has various languages and you will have to store the knowledge of tens of thousands of books in just a few years, I will give you fluency in all languages and perfect photographic memory to help you retain the knowledge!"

Aquiles wanted to ask who could punish a God, but before he could inquire about anything, God extended his arm at a speed that seemed to transcend space-time and held Aquiles's head with his right hand. As he felt God's hand under his head, Aquiles realized his soul reverberating, while countless runes emerged from God's palm and began to traverse his soul, merging with it.

As the runes integrated into him, Aquiles felt as if he were overflowing with power, and for a few moments, he experienced a sensation of invincibility. After the intricate runes had been meticulously carved into the essence of Aquiles's soul, God retracted his hand and said, "Remember: Once you arrive in the world, all I can do for you is guide you without ever being able to intervene in any way. Also, due to the runes I carved into your soul, you are too powerful, so if you die, not even my priests can resurrect you, as they do with other humans. Therefore, be careful!"

Aquiles nodded with a movement of his head and then asked, "Since you are God, who could punish you?" Unfortunately for Aquiles, there was no response from the almighty. In fact, God merely pinched his middle finger and thumb together, and then there was a snap, an audible snap that created a great flash of silver light, which engulfed Aquiles's soul and made him disappear.
