"Rei, here's your milk," Alexandra said, offering him the milk from the tray she was holding.
Rei glanced at her breasts, then back at her face, and asked, "Is this breast milk?"
Blushing at his question, Alexandra couldn't help but inquire, "Um... Where did you learn those words?"
"From my uncle," Rei promptly threw Siegfried under the bus for his intrusive thoughts.
"You shouldn't listen to your uncle anymore, alright?" Alexandra warned, her grip on the tray tightening as she crushed it.
'What a terrible influence, teaching a child such words,' she thought, resolving to have a serious talk with Siegfried.
"Okay," Rei agreed, secretly praying for Siegfried's well-being. "By the way, where's your husband, Big Sister?"
"He was busy working," Alexandra answered, hugging Rei between her arms and placing him in her lap. "Do you want to watch some cartoons?"
With that, she pulled out a CD titled "The Homu and The Small Honkai Beast."
'This series is interesting, similar to Tom and Jerry, but instead, it's about a Homu Doll chasing the Small Honkai Beast,' Rei thought, watching intently as the story unfolded, finding it both different and familiar.
"You're so cute," Alexandra said, cuddling Rei with a soft smile. "I hope my baby becomes as cute as you."
"Thank you, and I hope so too. I might even date her once she grows up," Rei joked, but then paused, feeling something wasn't right. "Ah, forget about it."
Alexandra gave a smug face, teasingly asking, "Do you perhaps have a crush on me? If you want, I can marry you."
"You're beautiful, have a body that can attract various men, and a golden heart," Rei praised Alexandra, his expression turning serious. "But I refuse. I hate NTR."
Hearing his answer, Alexandra giggled and pulled his cheeks. "You're so adorable."
"My mom said the same things before she burned up the kitchen," Rei said, suddenly remembering his mom's teasing.
Unaware of it, he showed his most sincere smile. Seeing him like this, Alexandra couldn't help but pat his head.
*Thud*
Suddenly, an inexplicable uneasiness washed over Rei. He couldn't quite comprehend what was happening, but he knew it wasn't good news.
Without hesitation, he sprinted outside and spotted a massive Honkai beast heading towards Alexandra's house.
Reacting swiftly, Rei summoned Araya within his grasp and transformed it into a thin wire. With a quick swing of his arms, the thread sliced through the Honkai beast, reducing it to pieces.
Despite defeating the immediate threat, Rei's unease persisted.
"What's going on? A horde of Honkai beasts appearing out of nowhere," Rei muttered, sensing the ominous Honkai energy surrounding the area.
*Clank* *Clank*
Suddenly, Rei's lost his strength, and collapsed to the ground, feeling an intense burning sensation coursing through his body. It felt as though he was being consumed by fire, inside and out, with his flesh tearing from within.
"Araya, what's happening?" Rei asked urgently, bewildered by the sudden and inexplicable pain.
Araya materialized and conducted a full body scan. "Report: Your stigmata is beginning its awakening, and it is advisable to push your body to its limits until assimilation is complete."
"I can't even lift a finger," Rei muttered, his body wracked with pain as he lay in the snow. "It hurts like hell."
"Rei!" Alexandra's voice rang out as she sprinted towards him, concern etched on her face.
Seeing Alexandra approaching, Rei urgently warned, "There's an incoming horde of Honkai beasts at this location. Pick me up and let's leave before they arrive!"
Hearing his plea, Alexandra glanced at the gruesome remains of the Honkai beast in horror, its blood staining the snow. "What is that...?" she murmured, staring at the carnage. "What's happening here?"
Though unfamiliar with Honkai beasts, Alexandra recognized the abnormality of the scene before her.
Shaking off her shock, she swiftly picked up Rei. "Let's get out of here," she said, darting in a random direction.
"I need to change Araya's form," Rei thought, attempting to command Araya to transform into a mode suitable for transportation.
*Broom.*
"Mrs. Alexandra! Are you alright?" a woman's voice suddenly called out, startling Alexandra. She turned to see the car of her husband heading to her direction.
"What is my husband doing right now?" Alexandra questioned, knowing that if those monsters showed up, her husband would be busy with his work. "And why do you have his car?"
Cocolia remained silent, continuing to drive and ignoring the question.
Seeing her refusal to answer, Alexandra felt a pang of sadness. "Has something happened to him?"
"Your husband is dead, and once those monsters catch us, they'll devour us," Cocolia explained, gritting her teeth as she wondered why this was happening.
'I still need to survive. Those kids at the orphanage won't make it without me,' she thought, determined to escape the Honkai beasts.
Alexandra looked at Rei, gently caressing his head. "Are you alright, Rei?"
"I'm alright. I just can't move my body at the moment," Rei reassured her, despite feeling a burning sensation coursing through him and his flesh feeling twisted. "But are you okay?"
Smiling gently, she patted his head and replied, "I'm alright. I've been prepared for this moment. My husband's work is dangerous, and he always told me to be ready for anything until this moment arrived."
Suddenly, the car stopped, causing Cocolia's expression to hollow out. "We're out of gas!" she exclaimed, punching the car in frustration. "Let's abandon the car."
Following Cocolia's instructions, Alexandra got out, and Cocolia fired a bullet at the flying Honkai Beast.
Despite emptying her load of bullets, the Honkai beast didn't have a single scratch. "Damn it! Even guns aren't working on these monsters!" Cocolia threw the gun away in frustration and grabbed Alexandra's arms, trying to run away.
Rei tried to move his body, growing frustrated as he realized that if he could move, he could swiftly defeat the Honkai beast.
Feeling Rei's body shaking within her embrace, Alexandra misunderstood, thinking he was trembling with fear. "Don't worry, Rei, we'll survive this," she reassured, despite the difficulty of their escape.
Cocolia glanced at Alexandra with a small smile, but her expression turned hollow when she spotted a Honkai beast. "Alexandra!"
Seeing Cocolia's hollow expression, Alexandra looked behind her and noticed a Honkai beast about to strike.
Gritting her teeth, she threw Rei towards Cocolia. "Sorry, Rei," she muttered, regretting breaking her promise of ensuring their safety.
"Chronos Stasis: Time Beam," Rei exclaimed, unleashing a powerful beam that obliterated the flying Honkai aimed at Alexandra.
Chronos Stasis was an ability he had developed using the essence of time. By harnessing time manipulation, he learned to trap and reflect light, turning it into a devastating beam of destruction.
"So this is what you mean by pushing my body to its limit? Ouch," Rei said, crying in pain. He didn't have a choice but to use his ability to manipulate time. He was happy he had developed an attack using time instead of just time stop.
But despite its firepower, the Honkai energy it consumed was more than he currently had.
At this moment, Rei concluded that he could only fire two time beams for now.
'Why is the burning and tearing sensation getting more intense?' Rei thought, his body covered in sweat. Even a simple movement caused intense pain.
'Damn it, I'm losing consciousness.' Rei's vision blurred, and his thoughts became hazy.
"Once I lose consciousness, we're done for," he muttered, trying to use the pain to stay awake.
"Let's run." Cocolia grabbed Alexandra and turned in a random direction, but the Honkai beast kept chasing them.
Despite wanting to know the extent of the kid's power, she knew now wasn't the time.
"Their numbers are increasing!" Rei shouted.
Cocolia looked at the Honkai beasts and confirmed that their numbers were indeed growing. "What should we do?!" she said in frustration.
She couldn't just abandon a pregnant woman and a child in the middle of nowhere.
"Chronos Stasis: Thread of Time," Rei exclaimed, and a small beam resembling a thread materialized in front of him.
It swayed in the air as if free from any constraints, but despite its harmless appearance, its ability to cut a Honkai beast in half would terrify any enemy.
Suddenly, the thread extended and flew without resistance, cutting everything in half, including nearby trees, mountains, and clouds.
Rei and the others were speechless, even Rei himself was surprised by the outcome.
"I see. If a thread doesn't have any restrictions from time and is swung with the intent to harm, it would move with unimaginable speed and force, encountering no resistance from the wind. This would allow it to cut through anything in its path effortlessly, making it an incredibly powerful and dangerous weapon," Rei said.
He was just testing its firepower for the first time, but now it seemed conserving his Honkai energy wasn't a problem anymore.
