Mark didn't wait for any further explanations before walking out. Mark walked out and then met Way walking out of the building.
He walked towards him and then tapped his shoulder lightly.
"I'm sorry I don't know your name, I'm the chairman's personal assistant you can call me Mark. The chairman told me to drive you home," Mark explained himself.
"Way," he replied.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Way," Mark said.
"Just call me Way I'm not your boss," he replied.
"I'm sorry but I can't do that,"
"Fine, whatever," Way couldn't be bothered to argue back, he was already mad and annoyed after Aidan had kicked him out of the office.
"I'll drive you home if you don't mind,"
"Fine, then I'll trouble you it's not like I have anywhere to go," Way whined silently.
"This way," Mark bowed slightly as he led Way out.
Way got into the car and then loosened up his jacket suit as his mind drifted into numerous thoughts. He still couldn't understand why Aidan was so angry.
"Wait, is it my outfit?"
"My hairstyle?" He mumbled softly. As he thought about and tried to figure everything out, he realized Aidan had never seen him in this look.
"Maybe he doesn't like this style," he concluded.
"Mr. Way are you okay? Do you need something?" Mark asked from the rear view mirror.
"No, I'm fine," hearing that, he couldn't help but sigh heavily. He didn't understand why Aidan had kicked him out of his office when he silently cared.
Being daytime, the road was very clear with no traffic so after half an hour, Mark drove into one of the most expensive posh neighborhood. Aidan's house was located at the furthest end and was the most expensive house around. It took them another thirty minutes to drive passing various villas. Way couldn't take his eyes off even for a minute. He admired the houses, the landscapes and the quiet, calm and peaceful air. It was extremely quiet that for a moment he thought no one lived in those houses. He recalled their crowded and noisy house back home. During the day, you could find old women gossiping and storying outside their houses while old men gathered together gambling or playing chess. It was extremely lively and noisy unlike here.
As soon as they arrived at the gate, the car was scanned thoroughly before passing. It was a ten minutes drive to the main house.
As Mark drove, Way couldn't help but gasp in awe as he looked at the kitchen garden, the large stream and fountain, the indoor football field inclusive of a basketball pitch.
He was still caught up when he heard Mark clear his throat.
"We are here Mr. Way," he spoke distracting him from his trail of thoughts.
Way nodded his head before alighting the car.
"This way," he spoke.
"Can I take a look around? You have work right? You can leave," Way turned to him. He wasn't used to having someone around.
"But..." Mark spoke but was interrupted.
"I'll be fine, plus where can I possibly go to?"
"Then, I'll introduce you to the house manager first,"
"Lead the way," he replied.
They walked into the house, with Mark holding the door for him. As soon as they got in, they found the house manager plus the house maids lined up at the entrance it was as if they were waiting for him.
"Welcome home Young Master," they all bowed at once.
"Just call me Wayne or Way for short form," Way spoke feeling a bit embarrassed by the greeting.
After the introduction, Mark turned to Way and then said.
"If you need anything you can call me or the house manager. Feel free to look around after having your lunch,"
"What about Aidan? When will he be back?" Way asked.
"The chairman usually arrives from work late, but you can use this his number is already saved on it," he took out a brand new phone and then passed it to him.
"Okay, thank you,"
"If there is nothing else I'll take my leave," seeing that Way was okay with everything, Mark walked away.
Way looked at the time it was around two in the afternoon.
"Young master should we serve you lunch?" The house manager broke the silence.
"Yeah sure," Way replied feeling a bit famished.
The house manager turned to one of the maids who led Way to the dining room. He took his seat comfortably as he curiously looked around the room. Everything about the place was worth a fortune.
A few minutes later, the house maids lined up with dishes and placed them on the dining table one after the other. Immediately they were done, they bowed politely and then took a step back.
The house manager then walked towards Way stopping an inch away from him.
"Young Master, we cooked everything since we had no idea of what food you loved eating," she said.
"Woah, I'm not a picky water but I'm allergic to anything to do with mushrooms it can cause a severe reaction so please don't use it in my food," he spoke politely.
"Yes, we will take note of that Young Master,"
"Have you eaten?" Way turned to face her.
"Not yet, we were still preparing food," she responded.
"Then, join me so that you don't have to prepare more furthermore, I can't finish all this," he replied as he glanced at the table full of food.
"No, I'm sorry but we can't we are not allowed to," she kindly denied.
"Aidan is not around and I'm not your boss, then if it's too uncomfortable you can take the rest away this is plate is enough for me,"
"I insist, that's an order," he added seeing them still hesitating. The house manager then turned to the house maids and then softly nodded as an agreement. After they had cleared the table, Way glanced around the large, empty and lonely table.
He sighed heavily as he pitied Aidan's lonely life. He finally understood where his attitude usually come from. He wasn't just cold but also lonely, living in a big mansion with only his subordinates.
After lunch, he walked around the house to get himself familiar with the area. The first had an inbuilt gym and game room, the second floor an office and a few guest rooms.
From what the house manager had told him, the third floor was where Aidan's room was located it occupied more than half of the room and apart from the house manager, no one was allowed to clean it.
After a few hours, Way walked to the kitchen.
"Young Master, what brings you here?" The house manager asked.
