"Well, I can say one thing about the Kingsleys. They've got some handsome boys. At first glance, I don't see why anyone would want to harm you. You look so innocent," Rue said after inspecting Victor.

She knew looks could be deceiving but Victor didn't look like he could hurt a fly. Rue would bet that even at her age she would beat him in whatever he challenged her to. A visit to the border was going to change that quickly.

"We'll talk about when you'll leave with us after dinner. We shouldn't spoil dinner by talking about poisons now. I must say that with different mothers, I can see quite the similarity with you two even though Ian strongly resembles his father," said Rue.

"Lucky me," Ian muttered.

"We do? No one has ever said Ian and I look alike. They always say that I look everything like my mother while Ian looks exactly like my father. Thank you," Victor said as someone finally agreed with him.
