"How come I never caught you drooling all these months?"
"I always did… in secret. I was careful not to make it obvious," Grace confesses shyly.
"And you did a good job of it. At some point when I didn't get any reaction from you, I began to doubt my own charms. I couldn't help but wonder if I'd lost touch with the opposite sex."
"Really?"
"Yes, really. And now that you successfully distracted me from what I wanted to know, how about I confirm how charming you find me," Jace said and before Grace could make sense of his words his mouth covered hers and the feel of his firm lips caressing hers with such care caused her head to spin.
Placing her palms on his wide chest, Grace reveled in the kiss, despite the faint warning from her head that someone could walk in.
And when he traced the seam of her mouth with his tongue, she parted her lips without so much as a second thought and allowed him to deepen the kiss.
