We drove through another border; this was the last territory before we would reach Chicago.

We were in Rothschild Mafia territory, and from what Lilian told me, their power was only second to Knox. Not only did their territory span twice as much as the Rockford Mafia's, but it was also much better developed.

We drove through, and finally we reached the border with Chicago.

The Knox Mafia actually held three different territories on the eastern part of North America, but Chicago was the capital and right away as we passed through, I realised why.

I've been to Chicago once in my life and this place wasn't how I remembered it.

I gazed through the dimmed window at the skyscrapers that seemed to be everywhere. In my world, Chicago had only a few dozen skyscrapers, but here, they towered like giants.

And some of them were taller than even the Willis Tower. Closer to the height of the Burj Khalifa.

But it wasn't just the skyscrapers.
