Shinra Tensei and Bansho Ten'in are abilities shared by both the Rinnegan and Tenseigan, and their power is considerable. When fully unleashed, they can destroy an entire village.

However, every jutsu has its flaws and weaknesses. The flaw of Shinra Tensei is that when faced with high-quality and concentrated attacks, its wide coverage makes it seem quite powerless.

For instance, Sakumo neutralized the powerful repulsive force of Shinra Tensei with his concentrated attack 'Raikiri: Purple Lightning,' countering and even breaking it.

As for Bansho Ten'in, because it attracts everything indiscriminately, many swift attack techniques can be accelerated by it. If not careful, it might even assist the enemy.

Therefore, when Deva Path Pain uses Bansho Ten'in, he combines it with Shinra Tensei. The unification of repulsion and attraction conceals Bansho Ten'in's weaknesses and even enhances Shinra Tensei's attack power.

However, after several exchanges, Sakumo had already grasped Deva Path Pain's attack rhythm and weaknesses. In a one-on-one scenario, the outcome would be uncertain.

But Nagato, who controls the Six Paths of Pain from behind, doesn't abide by any one-on-one rules. Deploying all six paths is the standard approach.

As Deva Path Pain spoke, the remaining three paths joined the battle with a few quick movements.

Sakumo braced himself, taking a defensive stance, watching the Six Paths of Pain closely.

Animal Path stepped forward, slamming a hand onto the ground.

Summoning Jutsu: Hellhound! Summoning Jutsu: Yata-no-Karasu! Summoning Jutsu: Chameleon! Poof, poof, poof.

Three simultaneous bursts of smoke erupted, but Sakumo only saw two massive creatures appear.

They were different in appearance but shared a common feature: Rinnegan in their eye sockets and black rods embedded in their bodies like the Six Paths of Pain.

"If my guess is correct, those six are puppets, and so are these summoned creatures," Sakumo quickly deduced. "Wait, there should be three summoned beasts. Where is the third one?"

Looking around, Sakumo saw no signs of the third summon, increasing his caution.

Meanwhile, Hell Path leaped onto Yata-no-Karasu's back, flying high into the sky, circling above Sakumo with a bird cry.

Simultaneously, Hellhound charged at Sakumo, its heavy steps shaking the ground and creating an oppressive aura.

But since all six paths were involved, it wasn't just Animal Path in action. The remaining five also moved.

Clank, clank.

Shurado's chest and abdomen split open, revealing an array of mechanical parts and hidden weapons.

Three missiles launched from Shurado's chest, their tails igniting, shooting towards Sakumo's position.

At the same time, Deva Path, Gakido, Ningendo, and Hell Path formed a wedge formation with Deva Path at the core, rapidly closing in on Sakumo.

Without retreating, Sakumo's body crackled with blue lightning, his hands covered in blue-white light, reminiscent of Kakashi's Raikiri.

It made sense; what the son could do, the father could naturally master, even if Kakashi developed it. Sakumo had no trouble learning it.

Moreover, it wasn't out of place for Sakumo to use it; both father and son shared a similar combat style.

Charging!

Sakumo turned into a streak of light, appearing among the approaching four paths in an instant.

He effortlessly dodged Shurado's missiles as he dashed forward.

Clang, clang, clang.

Sakumo fought the four paths alone, his movements fluid and unpredictable, blocking and counterattacking with precision, like a butterfly dancing in a field.

Shinra Tensei!

The sudden repulsive force sent Sakumo flying, but he quickly raised his glowing blue-white arms to block.

Though he was still pushed back, the preemptive defense and Raikiri mitigated much of the force, leaving him mostly unharmed.

Bansho Ten'in!

Deva Path Pain pulled Sakumo towards him with a gesture, but Sakumo countered instantly with a concentrated lightning spear, using the added speed from Bansho Ten'in to strike at Deva Path Pain.

Gakido: Sealing Absorption Jutsu! But Gakido's chakra absorption ability was too much of a counter to Sakumo's attacks. Without using sage techniques or pure physical attacks, it was futile against Gakido.

As expected, Gakido absorbed Sakumo's attack entirely, while Shurado's right arm morphed into a fully charged chakra cannon.

Shurado: Chakra Cannon! Boom! A laser beam shot towards Sakumo's chest, its speed enhanced by Bansho Ten'in, leaving Sakumo no choice but to brace himself.

Raikiri: Purple Lightning!

The blue-white lightning chakra on Sakumo's arms turned purple, increasing its penetration and power to the maximum.

Extending his arms and bringing his palms together like a diamond, he met the incoming chakra laser head-on.

Boom! The moment they collided, the shockwave rippled out from Sakumo's fingertips, spreading in waves.

Tear!

The sound of tearing cloth echoed as the laser split in two, grazing Sakumo's arms and shooting past him.

Splat.

Despite blocking the attack, the residual energy tore chunks of flesh from Sakumo's shoulders, splattering blood.

Before Sakumo could feel the pain, his sixth sense warned him of immediate danger.

Danger!

He twisted his body just in time to avoid a subtle ripple in the air beside him, almost invisible but distinguishable upon close inspection.

It was one of Animal Path's summoned beasts: the chameleon.

The chameleon could blend into its surroundings, becoming nearly invisible. Even in the air, it could camouflage itself perfectly.

Unless actively sensed, the chameleon was almost undetectable.

Splat.

A nearly transparent long tongue sliced through Sakumo's side, drenching half his clothes in blood, his internal organs exposed as he landed.

But Sakumo had no time to check his injuries. He rolled to the ground, clutching his side, dodging three incoming black rods.

With all six paths attacking, the pressure on Sakumo was relentless, leaving him no room to breathe.

Yata-no-Karasu, circling above, began to lay eggs.

Swoosh.

Sakumo looked up to see large, white eggs falling, blocking all his escape routes.

Rumble.

The ground shook as Hellhound lunged at Sakumo from three directions.

Raikiri: Purple Lightning Spear! Without dodging, Sakumo charged, his hands glowing with purple lightning, forming a long spear that split Hellhound in half.

Sizzle.

Ignoring his injuries, Sakumo's speed peaked again.

Swish.

He darted past the four paths, ignoring the black rods they threw.

His goal was clear: to eliminate Shurado's long-range firepower!

Swish, swish, swish.

Four black rods followed Sakumo, but they were too slow.

Crunch.

Sakumo's left hand pierced Shurado's chest, lifting his hand to split Shurado's head in half.

Abandoning his wound, Sakumo grabbed Shurado's shoulder with one hand, spun, and used Shurado's body as a shield.

Clank, clank, clank.

The four black rods pierced Shurado's already damaged body, but Sakumo remained unscathed.

Pant, pant, pant!

Sakumo panted heavily, sweat covering his forehead. He had given it his all.

In the brief moment of respite, the large eggs from Yata-no-Karasu exploded, illuminating Sakumo's startled expression.

"That summoning beast… it not only didn't die but split into two?"

With a jolt of realization, Sakumo watched as the flying Yata-no-Karasu circled overhead, carrying Animal Path once again.

It continued laying eggs.

Meanwhile, the split Hellhound charged at Sakumo from both sides, while the hidden chameleon lashed out with its tongue once more.

In a split second, Sakumo found himself surrounded and under attack again.

Drip.

Cold sweat dripped from his forehead, but before the droplets could hit the ground, Sakumo vanished.

The blue-white arcs of lightning covering his body had turned purple.

Sakumo was going all out!

His body speed broke the limit, making Nagato, who controlled the Six Paths of Pain from a distance, narrow his eyes in shock.

"What incredible speed!"

Nagato reacted, synchronizing with Deva Path Pain, who mirrored Nagato's movements.

Deva Path Pain pushed his palm forward—Shinra Tensei!

Boom! A powerful repulsion force erupted, but Sakumo didn't budge, only slowing down. He continued his charge.

"He resisted Shinra Tensei's powerful repulsion!"

Nagato exclaimed, unable to summon Gakido for defense in time. Deva Path Pain, created from Yahiko's corpse, was split in half from the chest.

Sakumo passed by Deva Path Pain's bisected body, panting heavily but smiling slightly.

"If I eliminate the core among the six, the rest of the battle will be easier!"

Turning, Sakumo set his sights on Gakido.

Without Shinra Tensei and Bansho Ten'in, Sakumo could easily defeat Gakido and then slowly deal with the remaining paths.

But Sakumo had miscalculated. This was a common issue when gathering intelligence mid-battle.

Among the Six Paths, Deva Path was indeed the core, but the true core hidden behind it was Hell Path.

While Hell Path's offensive abilities were unremarkable, it had the crucial power to revive the other five paths.

As long as Hell Path existed and Nagato had enough chakra, no matter how many times Sakumo destroyed the other paths, Hell Path could revive them quickly.

Hell Path: King of Hell Resurrection! "What?!"

Sakumo was shocked. Just when the battle seemed to be turning in his favor, Hell Path stepped up, causing an immediate downturn.

A massive demonic head appeared, its tongue wrapping around the damaged Deva Path and Shurado, chewing them and then spitting them out fully restored.

In an instant, all of Sakumo's efforts were undone.

"They hid it well!" Sakumo's heart sank. "So, the true core is not the leader but this one."

Clutching his side wound, Sakumo, drenched in blood, steadied his gaze.

"If you are the real core, I can destroy you as well!"

Despite his resolve, Nagato knew that Sakumo's main target would now be Hell Path.

Naturally, Nagato would protect it at all costs.

Boom.

Sakumo coughed up blood, his left arm impaled by a black rod, flung away by Shinra Tensei.

Landing heavily, rolling several times, Sakumo struggled to stand, his left arm numb, and chakra flow disrupted by the black rod.

With a forceful slap, Sakumo dislodged the black rod, spraying blood.

"I think it's time to end this," Deva Path Pain said calmly, not attacking immediately. "I've spared Kakuzu. Leave now, and you can keep your life."

Nagato didn't want to provoke Aragami Kyomu for now. If Sakumo was wise, he wouldn't kill him.

But if Sakumo remained obstinate, Nagato wouldn't hesitate to kill.

Aragami Kyomu was no threat to him!

A god doesn't fear a mortal.
