We stayed in the grass, and I held him. Clutched him to my body with all the comfort I could give. Then the breeze chilled, and we were forced to part and dress our bodies. Our skin had long dried, but neither of us had wanted to move or break our connection. Even for a moment.

Once we were dressed, Hael thought to leave, but I took his arm and pulled him back onto my chest, and he sighed, sagging against me. Relieved I still wanted him. I always would. I always did.

I hummed through the euphoric sensation bordering the edges of my mind, giving me an almost dizzy and tired feeling. Hael's hair was soft as I languidly stroked my hand through it, my eyes closed. I did not want this moment to end. I did not want to stop holding him.

It does not have to end.
