Capítulo 454: Will you help me hide a body?

Nicolai stepped inside the penthouse. His gaze flickered to the couch but when he didn't notice Ariana waiting for him, his brows furrowed instinctively. 

'Did she leave already?' Nicolai thought to himself. He took out his phone and called Ariana. If she was still on her way, maybe he could go and bring her back. In fact, if she hadn't barred him from looking for her at her apartment, he would have gone to fetch her there. 

However, the second he called her, he heard Ariana's phone ring. The sound seemed to be coming from upstairs. 

Nicolai raised his head and pulled the phone away from his ears to hear it clearly and to ascertain. The sound was indeed coming from upstairs. 

"Ariana?" Nicolai called. A frown settled on his forehead. 

Why was Ariana not coming to see him, if she was in the penthouse? He thought before walking towards the long stairs at the end of the living room.
