100% Lucian And The Cursed Cat / Chapter 2: Chapter II: The cat in the Darkness

Capítulo 2: Chapter II: The cat in the Darkness

A new day. The moon was giving way to the sun with a sad farewell. Everyone in the house was up and breakfast was ready. Lucian woke up to the alarm of his alarm clock. Normally he shouldn't have been so eager to go to school. Especially after yesterday's events.

He got out of bed excitedly. He went to the bathroom and looked at his messy hair and sleepy eyes in the mirror. He took a nice shower and went to his family for breakfast.

Greeting her son with kisses, Elena noticed that he was different today and when she asked him why, Lucian replied;

"Yes, mum, I feel pretty good today, I think good things will happen today".

Seeing his happy mood, Elena left the house to go to work as soon as possible in a peaceful way. She was a woman who thought of her family before anyone else.

Lucian, who left the house, started to wait for Caius in front of his house a little further away. Caius, who was very punctual, was leaving the house on time again. He was not surprised to see Lucian. He came up to him;

"Hi, good morning. I'm surprised you waited until morning to talk to me," he smiled and put a hand on his shoulder in a supportive way.

Lucian got straight to the point;

"Good morning to you too. I know I can't thank you enough for saving me yesterday, I can't count how many times you saved me, but please tell me. What did you say that made her stop attacking me?"

Caius listened carefully to Lucian. He analysed his tone and his actions. He was still very worried about this. It was evident in every expression. Caius was afraid that Lucian would again anger Larissa, whom he had forcibly calmed down;

"Don't misunderstand me, my friend. But trust me for a while and let's not talk about it. Believe me, in the end things will end in a way that you will be happy".

Lucian, who was confused, did not want to ask anything more because he trusted him too much. By that time they had already walked to school. However, this situation still bothered Lucian a lot;

"You go to class. I won't be able to go to the first lesson. I need a coffee."

Caius knew he had offended him. But he felt that he could more easily make up for a short period of hurt than cause bigger problems, and he was determined not to mention the conversation between him and Larissa. He went to class alone.

Lucian went to the canteen and bought a coffee. He sat at a table and thought about things he shouldn't be thinking about. Could something have happened between Caius and Larissa? No, no, don't be silly, he said to himself, then he couldn't stop himself and thought again. Then why didn't he want to tell me what they were talking about?

He put his head in his hands and continued to think about all this for a while. He didn't want to think that his best friend could really betray him.

At that moment he received a slap on the back of the neck. But a strong slap. It hurt a lot. He found himself on the ground before he even realised what had happened. When he found the opportunity and lifted his head slightly, he found Rebeca in front of him.

"Now I'm finished." He said to himself inwardly.

Rebeca was Larissa's best friend. Just like him and Caius. The difference with Rebeca was that she was a very aggressive and muscular girl, she was also a bodybuilder. He had seen her beat up three different boys at the same time at school. She was probably the only person in this school that he would not want to get involved with.

In the short time he was on the floor, he remembered that Rebeca had not been at school yesterday, but that he had seen her there at night when he had watched Larissa on the balcony. Larissa must have told her what had happened. And that explained why he was on the floor and Rebeca was on top of her.

Rebeca kicked poor Lucian in the balls. Then she bent down beside him and grabbed his hair with her hands;

"Lucian! This is the last time I will give you a polite warning. Believe me, you won't get a second chance." At that moment, the school's famous French teacher entered the canteen and saw the two of them in this state.

"Rebeca, leave the alien and deal with whatever he did outside the school. We don't allow that sort of thing here, you know..."

Rebeca pushed Lucian's head and shrugged her hands. She left with a smile.

Lucian was in no mood to talk. He was in too much pain. His eyes darkened and he felt nauseous from the blow to his balls. But it wouldn't be enough for him to realise what he was getting into. The teacher, who did not like him at all, could use this situation to suspend the alien.

The teacher crossed his arms;

"Whatever happened, I'm sure it was a problem caused by you. Be sure that you will find yourself in the principal's office if this kind of incident happens again."

He walked away to get a coffee. He left Lucian on the floor. Another woman working in the canteen noticed him and helped him. She took him home and handed him over to his grandmother.

This nameless hero would later be remembered by Lucian.

It was evening. Matilda and Lucian were left alone at home because Elena was coming home a little late due to a business meeting. Lucian had not answered Caius' calls all day, had not touched his food and had not even watched his favourite television show.

Matilda felt a little sad when she saw the state of her grandson. But when, after a long conversation, she realised that it was all for a girl;

"I thought you had a serious problem, Lucian. I think you're good enough to take the rubbish out of the kitchen," she said, scolding him.

Lucian was feeling physically better. But when he thought about what he had hoped for in the morning and what he had gone to school and what he had been through all day, a few tears came to his eyes.

He took the rubbish from the kitchen and went down the street. As soon as he threw the rubbish bag into the bin, which was wide open, a cat jumped out of the bin at him.

Lucian cried out in horror, he was already absent-mindedly moving like a zombie and was definitely not ready for this. At that moment he heard some laughter. He didn't want to believe it was coming from that direction, but yes. It was Larissa and Rebeca on the 4th floor of the opposite apartment block.

They made fun of him amongst themselves;

"What an idiot," and they went inside.

Lucian, who was experiencing the worst moment of his life, was about to cry with anger. At that moment, the cat jumping out of the garbage was looking at Lucian's face menacingly with its fur fluffed up.

With a moment of anger and reflex, Lucian kicked the cat hard right under its belly;

"You fucking cat! How could you put me in this situation? On top of that, you meow at me like this"

Meowing in pain, the cat flew off the ground like a football and crashed into a car a little further away, landing on all fours.

Lucian immediately went home and locked himself in his room. He didn't look out of the window that evening. He wanted to go to bed and sleep, just sleep. He didn't expect that it was all a dream and that he would wake up soon.

Lucian, who slept sadly that night, now had a new enemy. The cat was not going to forgive him for all this, and he was going to put his insidious plans into action.
