Zhang Te thought that his mother had gone to the bathroom and casually called out, "Mom?"

No one replied.

Zhang Te frowned and raised his voice, "Old lady?"

Subconsciously, he took out his phone to call his mother, but his mother's phone was ringing from the master bedroom.

His mother wasn't home... and she didn't even take her phone? That's unusual.
