Capítulo 13: Sneaky Leila
In the middle of the night inside the park of Kuoh Town, a monstrous figure with two big leathery wings instead of arms is trying to fly up to the sky with a sense of desperation on its face. But then with a fast speed, a light spear flew out from the darkness and pierced the monster in the back causing it to roar out in pain.
Then when the monster was distracted, two white magic circles suddenly materialized above the monster's head and under its feet before lightning shot out of the magic circles straight to the monster. The monster screams as its body goes rigid from the lightning frying it alive.
Seconds of agony later the magic circles disappeared as the monster that looked like a humanoid mutant bat flopped down on the ground, smoke rising from its burned body.
"That's a well done."
Noa with her black hair tied up in a top bun and visor sunglasses on her face as she dressed in a white jacket with roll-up sleeves, black gloves, black track pants, and running shoes, walked up to the monster with a light spear in her hand. She poked its disproportion small leg with the tip of her spear a few times without its responding. She smirked in satisfaction as the stray devil was incapacitated by her lightning strike spell.
"Should we cut its limbs off, Master?"
Leila who stood a bit away from the monster and her sister in her bounty hunter outfit the same one that she used last time turned her head to Zeno who was in his SS suit as he observed them from behind with a query look.
"No need, we only need his head, literally."
Zeno said as he read the bounty target information from his smartphone. The bold "DEATH ONLY" is very obvious under the picture of a humanoid bat monster his maid just fried.
"Yes, Master!"
Noa who was listening in on them immediately turned to the monster's body and started casting a spell with glee. A magic circle materialized around the monster's neck before a sound of cutting flesh and bone resounding as the monster's neck was severed cleanly, its head rolled away from the body with black blood gushing out from the wounds. The monster that abducted many people in the night was now dead.
"Let me take care of the body."
Zeno said as he walked to the monster's body, his maw appeared on his face. He grabbed the large headless body of the monster and started to devour it like a Komodo dragon eating a baby goat.
"Uhhh... it's so freaky."
Noa muttered a bit disturbed as she cast the spell to freeze the monster's head in an ice cube while watching her master swallowing a monster body that was way bigger than him. This was her first time seeing her master eating like this, same with Leila.
After he swallowed the whole body down his throat, Zeno felt that he had gained a few things from the monster. First is its leathery wings, next is its echolocation ability, and lastly is its ability to sustain itself with blood.
"It really is a bat huh...?"
Zeno muttered, amazed by the stray devil that had similar abilities to a vampire bat just like its appearance suggested. He wonders how these mutations of stray devils from the Evil Piece work.
"Should we inform the town governor, Master?"
Leila reminded him as she finished cleaning the trace of a fight around the area with Touki magic while Noa already put the stray devil's head in the icebox and coming towards them.
"No, let's do it tomorrow."
Zeno denied her suggestion, he thought that Sona probably be sleeping by now and didn't want to deal with a cranky girl. He turned to his maids and nodded.
"You two did a good job tonight. Let's head back to our base and go home."
They nodded in response and followed their master out of the park as they flew to the sky with their wings and their master with his newly gained flying ability which he was not very skilled at.

Zeno and his maids arrived at the entrance of their secret underground base outside of Kuoh from the sky. Zeno used his Touki magic to open the entrance to the base as the dirt floor opened up revealing a stone stairs that led downward.
At the bottom of the stairs, a large metal door with a magic circle engraved on it was blocking their path. Zeno placed his hand on the magic circle, and after a moment, it lit up with purple light before unlocking itself and opening up for them. This was another safety measure to stall intruders and alert personnel currently on the base.
Behind the door is a well-lit hallway with many doors that lead to various rooms. Zeno led his maids down the hallway as the entrance and the metal door closed automatically after they went inside. They separate soon after as Noa goes to the morgue to store the icebox and Leila goes to the changing room that connects to the shower room. Zeno went to a teleport point to teleport back to his apartment since he not wearing any clothes other than his suit.
Zeno materialized inside the empty room of his apartment. The place was dark but with his new ability, echolocation he could see all the outlines of objects in a ten-meter radius around him with just a click of his tongue. He turned on the light for his maids and went to the bathroom to take a bath since he wanted to relax in a bathtub.
