PERSPICUITY THE WORM
"Well, we'll follow Nicklas and see where he brings us", I told him.
"Oh no it's turning dark so soon", Nicklas said to us as the clouds in the sky were darkening.
"Why are you afraid of the dark?" I asked him.
"We were delayed by the attack of the swarm of locusts. We must reach the castle before the sky turns dark", he told us urgently as he pointed to a large castle some distance in front of us.
"That is the Delirium Castle that we came from", Chash said to us.
"That's our house", Luspius told us as she pulled my hands again.
Suddenly Nicklas shouted to us, "Run, run as fast as you can".
Something appeared behind us to chase us.
"Oh no, it's a giant worm", Ratatouille told us as he turned into a flying book to escape from the worm.
"It's Perspicuity", Nicklas told us worriedly.
"It's a long name for a worm", Melroy said to us.
------
The ground beneath us shook, sending tremors through the earth that cracked.
Suddenly, the source of the disturbance emerged from below the ground. It was a colossal worm of unimaginable size and grotesque appearance.
The enormous worm, easily the length of ten caravans, slithered through the ground with a sinuous motion, its segmented body undulating with a disturbing grace. Its skin was a sickly shade of pale grey, marred by deep, jagged scars.
As the worm continued its relentless advance, the ground quakes beneath its weight, causing the surrounding landscape to be torn apart, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
With a lunging motion, the worm's monstrous mouth opened wide, almost five timed the size when it was closed revealing a seemingly endless rows of razor-sharp teeth inside.
The worm, Perspicuity was aiming to eat us alive.
-------
Suddenly, Chash's sword behind his back was released into the air.
His Sword of Dominon turned larger as it slammed on the worm, stopping it on its tracks, while freezing the area on its left and burning the parts on its right.
"Dominon of Ice and Fire"
"Hey, your Sword of Dominon works here, how is that possible?", Melroy asked.
"I guess if Rinna's Soul magic and our space artifacts work here, then my sword of Dominon might work. It is after all a divine artifact that doesn't require me to cast its magic", Chash explained to us.
Suddenly, Perspicuity rose again. Chash's sword merely stopped it on its track momentarily.
"The worm is indestructible. I've done all I can", Chash complained to us.
Suddenly the worm counterattacked but we weren't the worm's target because it was aiming for the running children.
The worm opened its mouth up to more than five times its size and with a magical wind viciously sucked a dozen children into its maw.
"Please stop the worm from eating our children", Nicklas pleaded with us desperately.
"We must stop the worm attacking otherwise more children would be killed", Cassandra told us with concern about the cotton children's safety.
"Our magic might be able to deal with the creature worm if we could use our magic, but our magic is useless here", Meera told us.
"If only we could stop the worm for a few more minutes until the children returned to the castle", Rinna said to me.
There was only one thing that I could think of that would achieve that.
"Malevolent Knights"
Malevolent Knights were summoned to surround the worm, Perspicuity, their long and broad blades slashing across the worm as magical blades were conjured.
The magical blades cut the worm by hundreds of cuts but to my surprise, the worm wasn't hurt much by the conjured blades. However, the continuous attacks from my Malevolent Knights managed to stop the worm on its tracks, for a while.
"I am glad your Malevolent slaves can be summoned, master", Meera told me.
"The Malevolent Slaves are not a part of my magic. They are more like..," I tried to explain to her but couldn't.
"Kind of like they are a natural part of you", Ratatouille replied on my behalf.
"That's right", I said.
"This bloody worm is like a god. If only we have a divine weapon to kill it", Melroy told us his opinion.
Then I thought about something, and I quickly focused on it in my mind.
Suddenly, a chain flew toward the worm, Perspicuity.
At the end of the chain, there was a bell-shaped ornament. The Bell enlarged when it reached the worm before it slapped itself on its head.
Before long, crunching and munching sound was heard before the sky exploded from the bell in a shower of blood and puss. The worm's head was gone, destroyed by my divine artifact.
"Chasing Blood Guillotine"
"Damn, that is a good chow", Melroy commented about my killing of the worm.
When we thought the Tree and his cotton's troubles were over when the tree shouted out to me.
"Oh no, you are the Beast", Nicklas shouted to me suddenly to my surprise.
"Huh, I saved you guys, and you call me a Beast", I replied to him angrily at the unappreciative manner of his response to our help.
"Wait what is this?" I asked my Malevolent Knight as they delivered something to me from the worm's destroyed head.
"This is a Seed of Chaos. It contains the essence of this realm", Nicklas replied to me.
"Really," I said to him as I took the Seed of Chaos.
Instinctively, the Seed of Chaos disappeared into my hands, absorbed into me. Hopefully it will be made available for my use when I can use it.
"What did the Seed do to you?" Ratatouille asked me.
"Nothing at the moment, I think", I replied to him.
"It's a damn waste to kill the worm. No reward", he complained.
----
The children's castle was the castle we were in when we first came to Delirium. But this castle was different, it was inhabited by children and wasn't the one we came to Delirium from.
"Who are you and the children really? Why weren't you here when we came to this same castle?" I asked Nicklas.
