Capítulo 110: PWA 110 Homura, Nincada and Drum Bath

Sigh.... I know I am just being stubborn here, but should I become a bit more realistic and lower my standard even if it is just a little?

No, keep it up, me!

If I can't even hold onto my own principles, how could I achieve great things in the future?

There is no shortcut to success.

Either I invest a lot of time finding a good seedling for my team now, or I will spend a lot more of my time training my Pokémon until they are strong enough to meet my standard.

But sigh..... When will I do find a Nincada that can caught my interest?

Just when I am thinking something pessimistic like that, I see my Froakie is already having a showdown with a new Nincada that we have just encountered.

Huh? That Nincada, it is doing a move that have never been executed by the other Nincada until now.

While the other Nincada are only throwing sand, hardening itself, or just straight out doing aome scratches with their claws, this Nincada we have just encountered are biting on my Froakie with a vicious movement.

That bite is also not an ordinary bite, too.

I can feel that there is a special type of energy contained in that Nincada's bite, it is the same one that the Bug type Pokémons are emitted when their Swarm ability is getting activated when they are in a pinch and is already so close to defeat.

(Author's Note: Yep, as you all Pokémon Expert already can guess, this Nincada have an Egg Move called Bug Bite. And as you can guess from the name of the move, it is a Bug type offensive move and thus the partial Bug type Nincada would get a STAB from it.)

That wild Nincada bites my Froakie after it is throwing sand right to my Pokemon's eyes.

For a wild Pokémon, it sure have a good sense in combat by throwing a Sand Attack to reduce my Froakie's accuracy first thing in the battle.

My Froakie shot its Water Gun that I have instructed it to use to test on the wild Nincada that will be included on our team and thus, becoming its junior.

My Froakie seems happy on the prospect of getting a junior for itself, the bubble frog Pokémon is enthusiastically shooting its Water Gun instead of its newly learned and more powerful Water Pulse.

Oh, that Nincada quickly evaded the water bullet shot by my Froakie and it even landed a bite on my Bubble Frog Pokémon's right arm before it leap back again just as my Froakie is about to Pound on it.

Hmmmm..... Interesting, so far that Nincada have managed to dodge all of my Pokémon's move and it even give out a good fight against the Froakie that I have trained by myself.

And not to mention, that wild Nincada have also learned a move that I have never seen before to be executed by its own kin, and not even from the Ninjask and Shedinja that we have encountered so far.

Without further ado, I then make a decision.

This Nincada, I will catch it!

And thus, I reached out to one of the Net Ball that I have stored inside my Ninja Pouch.

Yup, since I have planned to catch a part Bug type Pokémon Nincada, it is only making sense if I bought a ball that is specialised to capture it, right?

"Froakie, use Water Pulse and knock it out!" With a spirited shout, I immediately commanded my Froakie to get a little serious by changing its usage on Water Gun to using Water Pulse.

The Nincada finally is getting hit by my Froakie's move and I immediately thrown my Net Ball towards it.

*Shake* *shake*

The Net Ball shakes twice before it stay still for the moment.

Just surrender or .....

I stared at the ball so hard that I think some of my killing intent leaked out and seeped into the ball.

"Froak froak froakie" My Froakie let out some croaking while it is breaking out cold sweat.

"Hum? What?" I immediately turned back to see my little frog pokemon that immediately shut up and it averted its eyes to the ball.

Froakie muttering in its heart: ("My human here is so scary. At first when she trained me in a hellish spartan regiment, I think I already too a glimpse of what a distortion realm would look like is. But now she is even more fearsome when she is looking at the ball with such a manic eyes and something that are leaking out from her body somehow make my skin feels like there are some little bugs crawling under it. Whatever is inside that ball, I pray for you to don't be stupid and just accept your fate already... Oh my Mew...., The look that my human just give to me before seems like a fabled Giratina smiling. It's scaaarrrryyyy...)

*Shake"

As I look at the ball with my fullest attention while giving the questioning gaze to my little Pokémon that somehow looked at the ball with a pitiful gaze, I see that the Net Ball containing my newly captured Nincada is making it's third and final shakes!

*Ding!*

And not long after, the red light on the Net Ball button that was blinking on and off since the ball managed to catch a Pokémon inside has been turned off along with the dinging sound that signaling the success of my catch.

(Author's Note: If only catching the Pokémon in the games are as easy as it looks in the Anime 😒 How many times you see people failed to catch a Pokémon after they managed to get it captured inside that cheap ass Pokeball, anyway?)

"Success!!!!! Yeah!!!!" I let out a cheer and take the Net Ball containing the newly captured Nincada to show it off to my starter Pokémon before I proceed to scan the ball with my PokeGear to register it under my name.

Nincada, Get! 😉

After I get the Nincada, I immediately let it out and letting it adjust with me and my Froakie as a new addition to our Ninja Team.

And after the day passed with us camping out in the wild again, I started to train it with a similar training regimen to my Froakie.

No special treatment and playing favourite, I will train all of my Pokémons with a strict discipline like how my clan trained me as a Ninja back then from my childhood.

As the three of us train together for another day, we also begin to explore the entire forest as part of our training.

I have my two Pokémons train their teamwork by letting them handles all the wild Pokémons we have encountered to the two of them.

Of course, if the number of wild Pokémons we met is too many, I will cull out their number first.

So far, the team of my Froakie and Nincada can handle up to four wild pokemons at once without taking a significant injury.

As we travel around the forest though, sometimes we also met not only wild Pokémons but also another Pokémon Trainers, especially when I am hitting on the road that are obviously a standard route to go from the Jelly Bean Town to Cupcake City.

To see the results of our training (and when I said our, that would include me too), I usually sneak up on them until I am close enough before I started to make a surprise for those trainers by suddenly saying some random remarks to them.

It is unexpectedly feels very funny to see the surprised expression of those trainers as they suddenly heard my words coming from their side without them even realising since when I have been with them.

Then after I am having my fill teasing those trainers, I would issued a challenge to have a Double Battle, 2 Pokémons vs 2 Pokémons with me, which most of the trainers would immediately accepted as it is the norm to be challenged and accepted them instead of running away from it.

Only a few trainers, who usually are the weaker ones with only a single Pokémon that are still left in his team alongside his journey, who would have refused my challenge and instead offer a usual one versus one Pokémon Battle instead.

[ ] Author's Note [ ]

A Froakie's very first starting Water type move is actually a Water Gun and not Bubble as I have thought of. Is my eyes seeing it wrong or is it my brain playing tricks on me and I remembered it wrong with my 32 years old head?

Sigh..... Or maybe the move Bubble and Bubble Beam have been removed on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and thus the Froakie can't learn them there?
