Capítulo 58: PWA 58 Kotonoha vs Gary I
My words make everyone fall into silence for quite a long time.....
"Jovanna.... Are you serious? You must be joking, right? I only have one Pokémon...." Kotonoha is the first to break the silence by questioning her boyfriend's words.
"No, I am not joking, My Dear Kotonoha. I believe your one Pokémon alone can floored any three of his Pokémons." Jovanna said as he reassuring Kotonoha of her and her Pokémon's capability.
"Ha! Big Words! You said that a pathetic girl like her who.... Hieee!!!!" Gary is talking trash as usual, deriding other people with his mouth. However, he didn't even get to finish his sentence as Jovanna send him a death glare that make Gary felt like he is a helpless Poliwag that is being Glared by an Arbok.
"Gary boya.... I suggest you learn to fix your foul mouth before I Cross Chop you for talking rubbish if front of my girlfriend." Jovanna threatened the grandson of the famous Pokémon Professor in front of the public eyes.
However, instead of the threatening first part of his sentence, what makes people around focused on him is the very last part of his sentence.
Kotonoha's beautiful face blushed and her rosy complexion make her looks even more lovely.
Added on with two mounds of massive biological weapons that she always carried around, it is to no surprise that there are a lot of people, especially among the young trainers who is instantly get smitten by her.
But their smitten heart is instantly crushed as they realised that the girl already have a lover, and a very cool and beautiful one on top of that.
Oh my Mew, they might have a guts if it is a handsome man, but who in their right mind would vie for a girl with a cool beauty trap?
If anything, they would have to lose a lot of their dignity as a man if they were to lose against someone who is not a handsome but a cutie when they compete for a girl's love.
And it is already clear as a Sunny Day for everyone that the girl in question is already fall head over heels for the cute trap who stands in front of her.
As for Gary, it took some moments for him before he step out from the instinctual fear caused by Jovanna's death glare.
"Hmph, I am challenging you, why are you throwing a woman instead? Have you become so sissy that you can only hide behind a woman, now?" Gary is back to his usual irritating talks again, still keen on challenging Jovanna to reclaim his honor after hia previous defeat.
"Me, hiding behind a woman? Who is hiding behind who, again?" Jovanna asked as he looked at Gary like one would look at a patient in a mental hospital, before he looked around with a questioning gaze to everyone who is currently watching their drama and then he turned his head to see Kotonoha who is hiding behind his back while shyly tugging on his sleeve like a little girl who is in a loss.
"Boya, did you need to check your eyes and ask your grandpa to bought you an eyeglasses? Because I believe you needed it." Said Jovanna as he throw the insult back to Gary.
Gary immediately exploded 🤯 Well, that short tempered, self proclaimed rival of his sure is very easy to get riled up.
But before any more profanity can comes out from his foul mouth, Gary is once again interrupted by Jovanna's talk.
"In case your are wondering, I am actually giving you a chance now, okay? As I have said earlier, I have already defeated you before, and I am afraid that some people would call me a bully who only know how to picks on the weak. So I give you a chance to prove that you are worthy to challenge me. Here is Kotonoha, my dear girlfriend, and she only have one Pokémon so far. If you want to prove your worth, then try defeat her first before you want to challenge me again. If you can't even win against my girl in 1 vs 3 battle, then don't hope you are even worthy to challenge me."
"Grrrr..... Okay! Let's do this! Don't you cry later!" Gary who just exploded can't rein in his temper and eat Jovanna's taunt.
"I bet my 5000 Pokedollars for the battle, do you dare to bet or not?" Jovanna, not one to miss the opportunity to make some easy money, decided to milk his cash cow slash rival to make it Big.
"Hmph, why not? Here is my bet!" Said Gary as he finalised their betting with their Pokegear.
"Ugh..... Is this really okay....?" Kotonoha asked nervously, her low self esteem kicking in again.
Jovanna held Kotonoha's shoulders with both of his hands and look at his beloved with sincerity in his eyes and said, "Kotonoha, if you can't believe in yourself, then just believe me who believes in you."
Jovanna put a sweet kiss on her girlfriend's forehead, the public displayof affection breaks every single person in the crowd right on their hearts.
"Also just take it easy, you will certainly do well, just do it like when we usually do in battles." Said Jovanna again, reassuring his girlfriend.

As I write and published this chapter on P@tréõn (February 11th), I got news about an otaku being caught by police and is charged with murder of an entire family of five in Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur (East Borneo).
Set aside the number of victims he killed single handedly, what caught the eyes of netizens in my country is that he is a high school student who is addicted to Anime with questionable genres.
On the lists of Anime that he recommended on his social media, the top four among them are: Boku no Pico, School Days, Yosuga no Sora, and ..... surprisingly the only "normal" one in the list, One Punch Man.
