After already taking a significant damage from being pounded twice by its foe, the baby lava Pokémon under Gary's command let out a painful gasp before trying to tackle its enemy.
Alas, just when its first tackle hit its enemy, the enemy in question already pounded on it back again with frenzied spirit like what her trainer commanded, she pounded on the baby like there is no tomorrow!
*Crack*
With a crisp sound like there is something being broken, the hardened body of the lava baby Pokémon is showing cracks everywhere from being pounded savagely thrice by the wood Pokémon.
"Bab.... Lav....."
With the final chirp, the Bablav owned by Gary is getting downed by Shion owned by Jovanna.
*Ka ching*
As the battle ends, the money in Jovanna's PokeNav account is doubled from ₱ 3,000 to ₱ 6,000 due to winning the bet against his so called cash cow, ahem, I mean, Rival.
"Hmph, don't think this is over! I will get it back from you again later!" Humiliated by his first lost, what's more, it happens in front of everyone on his Grandpa's Lab, Gary make a hasty retreat after returning his Bablav back to its pokeball.
"Yeah yeah, thanks for the easy money anyway. Please come again wherever you want." Said Jovanna with casual tone like everything that happened is already all according to his plan.
"Good job, Shion. Now , please rest and relax in the pokeball." Jovanna said while patting the leaf and the head of his winged wood centaurian Pokemon, before returning her back to rest in her pokeball.
"Wow, you are amazing, Jovanna. You can win in your first battle despite having a type disadvantage." Kotonoha approached Jovanna, saying her congratulations while she looked at her friend with amazement.
"Ha ha ha thanks, you too can be like that after training for some time."
"Really?" Kotonoha asked back, half believing and half doubting since she thinks that her new friend is just being modest with her.
"Really. Ah, I know you must be thinking of how difficult it will be to train your Ghost Pokémon?"
"Yes..."
"How about we travel on our journey together? Since you are now a Pokémon Trainer, you must have prepared for your journey before hands, right? I think it will be a lot easier if we both working together in our journey than traveling alone by ourselves. What do you think?"
"Is it really alright with you? Won't I be a burden?" Kotonoha asked again, this time her face is lowered and her eyes is downcast.
Sigh..... I see that Kotonoha Katsura still has not gotten over from being weak willed and with low self-esteem.
Well, I can't blame her since I know what she have gotten through from her bullied periods in the game and anime.
She is still easily feel insecure and have unstable mentality.
On the bright side though, that means I have so many chances to score brownie points with her and raised her affection to me by positively influencing her.
What? You wanna say I am being manipulative?
Hey, I assure for you all readers, it will be far better for her to fall for me, rather than to fall to an irresponsible bastard like Makoto in her anime who inherited the bastardness from his father but sadly not his father's resolution to have a harem.
"If you are unsure, let's just try it first for a week. I plan to spend the first week traveling from this town to the next town. You can come along with me. And if you think it is no good, we can go on our own way later."
What do people usually say about it? Hook, line and sinker?
First I will hook her up to travel and journeying together with me.
Then I will throw the line of wanting to help her train her Ghost Pokémon that is quite difficult to be done in the normal way since the route from this town to the next one is filled with Normal type wild Pokémons in the majority.
And as time goes on, she will grow more dependent to me and it's only about time before she sunk and fallen for me.
Hue he he he he he he he he, sometimes I am thinking, since when I have become this badass.
What a perfect plan, I am such a genius!
Without any more nonsense, I immediately apply for that plan.
It's not so difficult to convince Kotonoha to go together with me on our journey as new Pokémon Trainer.
The next step is just preparing the journey ahead.
We both go first to my home to get my things packed in my backpack and saying my farewell to my parents while introducing Kotonoha as my fellow Pokémon Trainer who will accompany me on my Travel.
My Mother's eyes immediately lit up like a torchlight seeing I brought home such a fine lady before my journey even started.
While my Father just give me a thumbs up, patting my shoulder while giving me a knowing look.
I guess even without me saying anything, parents, especially mothers are always knowing what is in their children's mind.
Well, any children used to spend more than nine months in their mother's stomach anyway.
By the way, I also let out my starter Pokémon Wooxie and introduce her to my family.
"Woo xie~"
"Medi medi champ."
She gets along quite well with my Father's Medichamp.
Kotonoha also let out her starter Ghosteam Kasumi so that she can play together with Shion and Medichamp in our house backyard.
Let's see what I should pack in my bagpack that have a capacity like a Bag of Holding in RPG Games first: change of clothes, food and drink rations both for human and pokemons, some tools for cooking, camping and adventuring.... What else?
