~~~Bazar~~~
The atmosphere, as heavy as if inside an oven, could be palpable when Azrael spoke, with a slightly high tone and full of undisguised hatred.
This added to the presence of Endoxes behind Azrael, and the thread hinged on whether a fight would start was in full bloom.
"You are very bold to come to my domain and speak to me so haughtily, King Jaesyrian," However, Pol Qo did not mind this in the least, as if he had a child and his dog in front of him while he held a firearm.
Pol Qo was an expert fighter who had lasted over twenty years in constant warfare against the Jogos Nhai, a man whom the war had been responsible for hardening. He would not be intimidated in the face of a man who controlled a dragon, especially if he had his entire army ready to kill him if the time came.
For him, Azrael lost the moment he decided to land.
Azrael smiled, grimacing, "Bold? No, I am not bold. I merely possess power, something I have been granted and will put to use."
"Since you are bold... or stupid, I will have to explain what you are going to do," Pol Qo dismissed Azrael's words, spitting on the ground as the men near him shouted in support of their emperor, "you will surrender now, right here, drop your sword, and scram back to your kingdom. Otherwise, your dragon will die trying to prevent me from slaying you." Pol Qo finished saying, raising his hammer and dropping it to the ground, kicking up dust and leaving a small crater where the hammer landed.
"For someone who has fought all his life, you speak as if you have learned nothing, and ambition blinds you," Azrael had already given up the idea of going through with the plan to make Pol Qo surrender and save the bloodshed that would ensue.
Unfortunately, Pol Qo was the first to pursue that avenue, and Azrael would be lenient in giving it to him. "You talk a lot for someone alone."
"Hahahahaha!" Azrael laughed, earning a cruel and hateful look from Pol Qo, who was about to start a fight with him for teasing, "Who said I'm alone?"
At Azrael's words, Pol Qo tensed, thinking that perhaps he had used himself as bait for assassins to reach him, take advantage of the distraction, and kill him; however, looking around, he only noticed his warriors, so he frowned, not knowing what Azrael was referring to.
However, as if it were a sign from heaven, the whole earth began to tremble, and the zorses began to panic, unable to be calm with the supernatural event as if they were aware of what was coming.
Soon, thousands of screams and exclamations were heard as the cause of the tremor was revealed, literally.
A massive torrent of fire shot out of the sandy soil near the mountains, turning the nearby sand into molten glass and creating a gaping hole in the mountain's base. When the torrent of flames stopped, a beast from the depths of hell came out of the hole just the right size for four mammoths to pass through.
A beast of mammoth size, quite possibly reaching fifty meters long and eight meters wide, emerged from the hole in the mountain, revealing its physical appearance: a snake-like body, orange-skinned, with a bird-like face, beaks, and large red eyes, along with horns on its head.
The creature soon emerged entirely from the hole at the same time as three other torrents of fire shot out from inside the mountain. This means there were three other beasts, like the first one.
"Firewyrm," Pol Qo uttered with a stunned look, seeing those dreaded beasts that had been the main reason why no one went to ancient Valyria, and while at first you weren't killed by the diseases that inhabited there or the weather, then one of these would, as they had spread throughout Valyria after Valyria's doom.
And now, four of those infernal beasts had appeared, unsettling Pol Qo a bit since while he had a fighting chance against the dragon, his trump card would not help him fight or kill said beasts.
However, the four firewyrms did not move to attack at once but coiled in on themselves and waited at the side of the hole through which they had come out, and the reason was soon seen.
Hundreds of thousands of men on horses came out of the four holes at the foot of the mountain, wearing black armor that glowed from time to time in a singular bright color, while the armor their horses wore also glowed the same.
The Dothraki of the Imperishable Horde had arrived at the battlefield, numbering in the thousands, their armor enchanted to withstand the high temperatures of the tunnel the firewyrm had made to get through the Bone Mountains and get there faster.
Soon, more than two hundred thousand Dothraki warriors formed up some distance from the city of Bazaar, awaiting their Khal's command to move.
As for Azrael, all this time, he had kept a proud smile on his face, watching as his army made an epic entrance; he, as a supreme fan of the Lord of the Rings, was delighted when the orcs made their entrance in the battle of the five armies. After Micaela returned from Valyria with four firewyrms and learned of his ability to create stable tunnels underground, he knew that the opportunity to make an equal entrance had presented itself to him.
And in front of him were the results.
"This makes no difference whether I have to fill the Great Sea of Sand with water again and drown your fire leeches myself; I will do it." Pol Qo lashed out at Azrael, who had not left the Horde's sight for several yards.
Without wasting time or saying anymore, Pol Qo took his hammer and rushed towards Azrael, wanting to kill him and thus leave the army leaderless. In a surprising show of strength, he raised his hammer one-handed as he rushed towards Azrael, ready to kill him.
Although perhaps in the momentary madness that tormented him, he did not remember Endoxes, who had always been alert for possible damage or attacks on Azrael, who had allowed him to see the sun.
So, seeing Pol Qo approaching aggressively, Endoxes did not hesitate and attacked.
"ROOOAR!" With an angry roar, Endoxes rose on his hind legs, spread his wings, and covered Azrael. With his front legs, he cut the air and attacked Pol Qo.
Pol Qo was saved at the last second when two warriors ran and knocked him out of the way of Endoxes' paw strike, freeing him from danger momentarily. However, one could not avoid the blow, being thrown several meters away, crashing into a wall, and painting the wall red.
In a joint attack, the thousands of archers launched their arrows, ready to attack Endoxes and make time for their emperor to escape immediate danger.
Spears, arrows, and crossbow feints were fired, but none could break through the massive defense of Endoxes' skin.
Quite possibly, even if scorpions were used at a distance of only half a meter, it would not represent any danger to the dragon since his skin was firm, protecting him from physical blows and magic to the point that the lightning bolts fired by the bastions at the End. They did not hurt him much.
He could withstand them for several minutes, even after it was demonstrated that the rays were so powerful that they could destroy the enchantments of Azrael's armor, to the point of destroying the netherite armor in its entirety.
So the Pol Qo warriors' attempts to harm Endoxes were unsuccessful, wasting weapons. And only making Endoxes angry, so much so that he was about to use his breath, something he hardly ever used.
Soon enough, a whirring sound was heard, like an airplane turbine, as a purple light began to glow from Endoxes' dull golden chest, up his neck, and finally to his mouth, where a purple light with white rays could soon be seen.
"BOOOM!" A thunderous explosion was heard as Endoxes' destructive breath shot out of his mouth and began to devastate everything in its path, leaving destruction and death in its wake, with warriors fleeing in search of a way out of such suffering.
The stone was evaporated after a few seconds, flesh and blood were turned to ashes, while the screams and wails were not long in coming.
Fortunately, Pol Qo escaped unharmed from the attack pushed by his warriors as he watched the city of Bazar being subjected to the power of an End dragon.
And with a look full of hatred, he tore off the horn strapped to his waist and blew it, giving way to a battle of proportions never seen before.
