~~~Royal Zoological, Xandar~~~
Once I stepped through the portal, I felt as if a draft was pushing me upwards. Out of the portal, I was lying in and out of the room I had been in moments before entering the End.
"Ufff" I let out a long sigh, shaking my shoulders and rubbing the bridge of my nose from the stress I had been through in there.
The experience was much more emotional and colorful than I first thought it would be; however, there were still many questions in my mind, starting with the fact that Notch existed, or so Endoxes believed, not to mention the issue of those people who visited the End to fight him.
Was the End, the dimension I had visited, linked to the world of Minecraft? Because it seemed so, and if so, I had to take care to get the Enderman and Endoxes out of that place quickly and close all doors to that place, not wanting to meet that being that Endoxes hated.
So effortlessly, I destroyed the bedrock blocks, receiving a strange sight, as all around the room were perhaps over two hundred soldiers in enchanted armor, in fighting stances, and with their enchanted spears at me.
"Elno'meryuk, triböti reqalva," I said aloud, an act that caused all the soldiers to lower their spears and form up.
"My King, we thought we lost him." Valka, with a cold and calculating countenance, spoke to me, with wary eyes.
"What do you mean?" I asked, not understanding what she meant.
Valka was silent for several seconds until she spoke again: "You were there for over half a month, My King."
'What?' I thought, that couldn't be possible; if I hadn't spent a day in the End, how would I spend half a month outside? That was an amazing thing, that mammoth time dilation—strange but amazing.
However; there would be more time to think about this; for now, the important thing was to get my new friends out of the End.
So without wasting time, and ignoring the confused and strange look Valka was giving me, I flew towards a large clearing in the zoo, the perfect place for what I was about to do.
And starting to build a portal to the End much bigger than the previous one, 15X15, I formed the channel for Endoxes to get out of the End.
Now, I just had to wait a bit, as I watched a black sphere with glowing dots form in the center of the portal frame, expanding more and more until it took up the entire frame.
"Fiuu" A black shadow with purple speckles came out of the new portal, as it flew over the portal, so that then more and more shadows of the same style came out of the portal one after another. "The Enderman," Valka spoke in surprise, looking at the hundreds of black shadows floating in the sky. "How did you do that? They don't answer to anyone." She asked, looking at me as if I had two heads.
"It's a long story," was all I said, in time to watch as Endoxes, at a rapid speed, exited the portal, spreading his wings after passing through it.
At the same time, a blood-red comet splits the sky, creating a trail of fire in the sky, signifying something different to many.
"It's beautiful," Valka said, looking at Endoxes, who was lying down while eating the remains of a large bobbin.
Nodding, I smiled a little, but then my happiness vanished when Gallio, who by now was doing the work as my right-hand man, came up to me and started pulling documents out of his clothes.
"My King," he greeted me, then gave me a guilty look and began to read his papers. "My King, while it fascinates me and fills me with tranquility and peace to know that you are well and that... Because beings as majestic as these give you their help, I approach you to update you on recent events."
I let out a sigh, thinking that I might as well follow Robert Baratheon's plan and lose myself for a while with caravans of artists where no one knew me. However; I was not so selfish as to do that, and while Xandar at the moment could function very well even in my absence, something was evident when I was lost for half a month in a different dimension. There were still things Xandar needed my guidance on.
"All right," I replied, motioning for him to speak, as I approached an area with several tables with chairs under the shadows of the trees.
"Starting with the important stuff," Gallio said, once I sat comfortably and began to eat from the fruits that were in several baskets. "Xandar currently owns four war fleets, along with two merchant fleets," he explained with a beaming smile.
"Eighty large galleons now await orders from you on how to proceed. I know one of those is under General Micaela's jurisdiction, but the other three I have no idea."
That news pleased me, especially knowing that in only twenty days, the Tech Ministry was able to build such majestic fleets based on the ships that Micaela had gone on her expedition to Sothoryos with. Though considering the size of those shipyards, along with the wise guidance of the blacksmiths, I wasn't too surprised that such ships had been assembled in a short time.
"Have one of the three remaining fleets head for the Basilisk Islands, with orders to exterminate any pirates hiding in that archipelago and hold it in the name of the Xandarian Crown," I explained, making it clear that I wanted that archipelago for the Kingdom since that place was very important for what I had in mind.
What was it? Well, to control the passage between the eastern and western parts of the Summer Sea, along with the passage between Westeros and the southeastern part of Essos, more precisely Qarth, Yi Ti, and Asshai.
For this, I would need to conquer the island of New Ghis, while taking all the lands of Old Ghis for Xandar; thus, Xandar would control the Dothraki Sea, the lands west of Lhazar and the Red Desert, along with the territorial waters of New Ghis and the Basilisk Islands.
That might create conflict with Qarth or the cities of the Jade Sea, but at this point, that didn't matter to me, and while it wouldn't stop the passage of their ships, it would stipulate a toll, as was the case with Qarth and its famous Jade Gates.
"Come to think of it, move three legions of the undying horde to the Sea of Grass; let them be noticed on those plains so that the other free cities don't start taking ground due to Vaes Dothrak no longer existing."
"Also mobilize three legions to Old Ghis; let them control the area and secure all the lands west of the Red Desert; once they do this, one legion will be the first to cross the sea to New Ghis and conquer it."
"Very well, Your Majesty, I will contact the Military Minister as soon as possible," Gallio said, writing down my orders in a notebook he brought with him.
"My King, before I forget," Gallio said once he finished writing down in his notebook and putting it away, taking a document from the many he brought with him and handing it to me. "A message from Braavos: the Iron Bank and the Sea Lord wish to create ties with Xandar and the Crown."
Opening the document, which was two letters rolled into themselves, I skimmed through the message. The Sea Lord wanted to create diplomatic and trade ties with Xandar, a city free of slavery; as for the Iron Bank, they wanted to open a branch in the city.
"Send my reply; ties with Braavos will be welcomed if they send trained personnel to Xandar; as for the Iron Bank, tell them that their courtesy is not necessary and that Xandar already has the Central Bank." May I be struck by lightning if I let the Iron Bank make its way into my city.
"My King, in other recent news, Varys was bent on meeting with you; he commented that he had made a decision." Wow, so Varys had made his choice; that excited me, so without wasting any time, I ordered him to be brought in.
While I waited for him, I continued to talk to Gallio about what had been happening in the city, including learning that we had obtained several Wyvern broods, something that had caused many hatchlings to be born in the last week, along with the fact that the city was receiving several caravans of slaves daily coming from Mantarys, Volantis, and Qarth, who were arriving escaping slavery, which would eventually create problems with those cities.
"Your Majesty Azrael, it is a pleasure to see you again after so long." I heard the silky voice of Varys, who was approaching me accompanied by five guards.
Watching him, I could see that he had not lost weight and looked healthy; at least the people in charge of his care were treating him well.
"I see life is treating you well, Varys," I said, motioning him to take a seat next to Gallio and me.
"Yes, Your Majesty, I feel at ease here; they've even let me correspond with those close to me in Pentos." He said, taking a red pear from one of the baskets, taking a bite, and enjoying the water from the fruit.
"Have you thought about what we talked about that day?" I asked, wanting to get to the point once and for all.
Varys, for his part, nodded. "I thought about it carefully, Your Majesty, and concluded that I will be at your service."
Smiling, I touched his forehead quickly, causing Varys to snap out of it, and then smiled again, this time, with a truer smile.
"Very well, Varys. I am proud to know that you now belong to the Flourishing Kingdom of Xandar," I said, giving a nod to Gallio, who handed Varys a letter.
"That arrived a week ago from King's Landing," I said, explaining the situation. "King Aerys Targaryen is interested in your knowledge and gifts."
"What should I do, My King?" he asked, turning serious. "Hear his call, become his best confidant, and at the same time, as you tell him of Xandar, open the gates of Westeros to Xandar, starting with King's Landing."
