"Is it you?" Avery Miller took a step back, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at the woman in front of her. How could she have appeared here so suddenly?

"Surprised, are you?" Natalie Green scoffed, her tone suggesting that not even luck could save Avery now.

She moved forward, signaling to a couple of tall, muscular bodyguards behind her. "Take her," she commanded crisply.

The emotionless bodyguards grabbed Avery, forcing her to follow Natalie.

"Let me go! Where are you taking me? Natalie Green, I have no quarrel with you. Why do you keep targeting me?"

Natalie had reached the front door of Yuki Mizuko's house and was about to enter when she heard Avery's protest. It seemed to amuse her greatly; she burst into loud laughter, her gaze sharp and venomous as she turned to Avery.
