As the night enveloped everything in darkness, snowflakes floated down from the sky like sad yet joyful sprites, their wings fluttering freely.

Driving onto the road, Ethan slowed down, opening the windows to look for her.

The clean asphalt was thinly covered with snow. His brows furrowed tightly, his deep, dark eyes betraying neither anxiety nor anger.

It wasn't long before he spotted a familiar, graceful figure in the dim light by the roadside. It was her; he had found her.

He accelerated abruptly, rushing towards her direction.

Avery Miller, startled by the car that suddenly approached, was relieved it stopped a meter away. Still, she was shaken, feeling as if her life hung by a thread.

"Are you insane? Can't you drive more carefully? What if you had hit someone!" she yelled, her heart racing, as she stared at the person inside the car.
