Chapter 12: Club Orientation: Traveling
Note 1: The first part of this chapter will be from Yoo Yeonha's perspective and the latter will be from Kim Hajins.
Note 2: Yes, I know C2 dresses weirdly for their trip. And, no I don't give a shit.
Note 3: " " is for dialogue, " " with ' ' in between is for when the character is quoting something or someone, ' ' in italics is for thoughts, [ ] is used for a lot of things like written text, titles, and to put emphasize on certain words, *** is used for scene transitions, { } will be used for PoV changes.

[Korea, Cube, 08:30, 2025, February]
Yeonha had arrived at the [Cube Portal Station], the meeting spot for the Traveling Club Orientation half an hour earlier than the specified time. She was surprised to see the person she had been trying to avoid the past couple of days because of her embarrassment. Standing before her was C2 in a Hawaiian shirt only buttoned up to just below his chest with a pair of sunglasses in the front pocket, matching Hawaiian shorts, a pair of flip-flops, and, on his head, a simple straw hat.
"Yahallo!" C2 said to Yeonha as he lifted his hand to greet her.
"Hello," Yeonha said as she stood next to C2 and waited for the others. She could see C2 frowning at her response, but she felt it would be awkward on her part if she said anything more than that.
"HMMMMMMMMMMM?" She could hear an aggressive humming coming from C2 that was getting progressively louder each second she ignored him. Finally not being able to take it anymore she turned to look at him. "Yes?" She said acknowledging his existence.
"Are you going to cash in on your questions or not?" He asked Yeonha looking bored as he said so. "Ah, if you're going to ask boring questions like 'How will this company perform' to make money from stocks I won't answer."
Just as she was about to ask her first question she was interrupted by C2. "Your next line is: 'Would you be interested in joining Essence Of The Strait.'" He said with a smirk on his face, pointing his finger at her.
"Ho- no I should expect you would be able to do this…" Yeonha said shaking her head at her surprise. 'Come on Yeonha, you should be better than this. He can see the future of course he could do that…' She thought berating herself.
"As for the answer… Depending on both the terms and how competent of a leader you show yourself is how I'll determine if I'll join you or not." C2 said with a smile and looked down at his phone. "Hmmm… one more question for now as we don't have time for more at the moment."
"What are the [Magicians]?" Yeonha asked nervously as she looked C2 in the eyes, only to find them practically sparkling with excitement.
"YES! I knew I was right to choose you for this! The only other person I saw who could possibly give as much fun as you was Rachel, but I chose you because you had a higher chance of asking the right questions." He shouted with joy as he shook her shoulders with sheer excitement.
"Ah, apologies, I got too excited," C2 said with some embarrassment in his voice. "Now onto your question… we, the [Magicians] are the ones who have reached [The Root] and acquired one of the [Five True Magics]. Now I know you know roughly what they are from what [First] told me but as a little bonus I going to tell you the names in order from First to Fifth." C2 said with a slight smirk on his face as Yeonha listened intently.
"For the First, we have「Denial Of Nothingness」which allows [First] to create anything from nothing and vice versa. The Second is「Parallel World Operation」this one allows for travel between Parallel Worlds and Timelines, though as far as I'm aware there's no [Second] and [Fifth] in the current era. For mine, the Third is「Heaven's Feel」which not only allows me to see the Future but also the Past and Present. The Fourth is「Veil Of Concealment」which can manipulate and delete information, though it could also be considered both an [Anti-Meme*] and [Meme*] at the same time. Now for the final one,「Law Of Causality」, it's a weird one, and not much is known about it, but from what I know it can manipulate the [Cause And Effect] of everything effectively turning the entire universe into the [Fifth]'s bitch." C2 carefully explained to her.
"And as a final note, don't take this information as 100% true as the ones I listed are just one version of each [True Magic] as no one truly knows what they are." He said with a serious tone incomparable to his usually playful tone.
{PoV 1st: Kim Hajin(He confused frfr)}
I was beginning to speculate that this C.C. person may not have been a character from [The Returnee Hero] but one the [Co-Author] had added from the conversation I just overheard him having with Yoo Yeonha both today and at the Academics Club. I didn't have much time to think about this however as the Club President as well as the members had arrived.
"Hello, I am the President of this little club, Oh Hanhyun. At first, I didn't believe that so many amazing Cadets would join but seeing you all here has reaffirmed it for me." I heard Hanhyun say with a gentle smile on his face.
"Now, first I'll give a short introduction about this club." I saw him clap his hands gently as he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and began explaining. "Once or twice a month, we'll be going on a trip. The purpose of these trips is to relax so it is strictly forbidden to train on them. This is why the club is called [Healing Rain]." After clearing his throat I saw him put the paper back in his pocket.
"Normally we would have a theme for these trips, but since today is an orientation we'll just be having a short trip to Seoul without anything complicated going on." Again he explained with a gentle smile on his face, but I knew better, there would be a Djinn attack at the [National Weapons Museum] so this would be anything but a simple trip as he said, of course, he couldn't know that this would happen, but I did.
"Now then… we'll be drawing lots and splitting up into groups of two, however sadly one of us must go alone as we're an uneven number of people today." I was shocked at what he just said, in the original there also was an uneven amount of people in the club but with me here it should've been even…
"I'll go first" I heard Yeonha say as she went up and pulled out a name without much care, and when I saw the name on it I was surprised as it was mine, but then something I can't explain at all happened as the name switched before she could see what name was on it.
"C.C." She read out loud as she wore her usual mask as she started at C.C.
Thankfully for me, everything else went unchanged as Kim Suho ended up with Chae Nayun and Yi Yonghan with Oh Hanhyun. Luckily for me, I was the odd man out and ended up by myself while Hanhyun gave me an apologetic smile.

Fact #3: [Towers] are typically said to be the "Peak" of Dungeons, and while this isn't wrong it's not right either. A Dungeon cannot become a Tower as a dungeon is in essence an "incomplete" Tower. There are two types of Towers, the [Collective Tower] and the [World Tower]. The Collective type is a Tower that has been born out of Humanities collective unconscious, thus forming Towers like [The Tower Of Miracles] and [The Tower Of Wish]. While the World type are the ones made of [World Seeds], the Towers made of these are typically towers like [The Tower Of Ice] and [The Tower Of Fire].

Now I know this chapter is late by about three hours but I had a hard time writing this because of three things. One, I just couldn't come up with how I wanted the chapter to go so it took forever to write. Two, I had this insatiable urge to create another character for another fanfic that I will properly never write, and I did so I could continue this one. And three, I burned the shit out of my right hand a couple of days ago taking some pizza out of the oven, and fried the shit out of the nerves in it, so it's been kinda hard to focus on anything. Luckily for me, it's nothing but a first-degree burn as I quickly got my hand under some water, but it still hurts like a bitch, and that's saying something for me because I've already lost most of the ability to feel pain in my right hand about four years ago from a serious third-degree burn that covered my entire hand.
Ah, also don't worry I won't be dropping this because of that character I wanted to create as he will most likely end up like all the other characters I've created, in a folder never to see the light of day. Though if I like him enough like I did with C2 I may make a fanfic to throw him into. I'm also pretty sure the reason I'm at least decent at writing is because of all the characters and worlds I've created that no one but me will ever see.
