Capítulo 99: Split-second Kill

Arias’ destination was different from most people in Bernier City. While they were heading toward the city wall, he was going in the opposite direction. He needed to go back to the manor. Something was telling him that his clan was also in danger much like the entire city, and Arias was afraid that Mashelle and Merson might be the cause of this danger.

Along the way back to the manor, Arias could see people rushing in panic. Some of them were soldiers and some of them were common folk. Everyone in Bernier City was a mage, but not all of them were strong and capable of fighting. Generally, only soldiers and powerful mages would be sent to the battlefield during a war. For the majority of the citizens who were just neophytes, there was nothing much that they could do aside from watching. There were some people who recognized Arias, but considering how tense the situation was at the moment, no one paid much attention to him.

“Arias, is your city going to be destroyed like ours?”
