Capítulo 269: He's Watching Us

The smell of smoke filled my nostrils as we moved forward. It didn't take long for the shrill cries of wounded vampires to resound around the forest.

Several birds flew above our heads in a desperate effort to escape the site of the blast. 

I stood in the middle of the group while Aceco held my hand. As for Rhett, he stood in front of us with no weapons out except for his claws.

Eventually, we caught a view of the mountain that the humans had blown up. The mountain still stood tall but the parts which had caves where the vampires resided were now reduced to rubble.

However, several vampires took advantage of the smoke surrounding the forest, which acted as a shade of sorts against the sunlight. They jumped down from the mountain, snarling aggressively at the pack soldiers.
