The fleeting figure he'd seen on the wall the night before – the one that had disappeared into Isleen's window… it came right back to his head while looking at Liam right now.

He had to shake the thoughts off. He considered the odds. For Liam to climb the wall up to the window with such precision and speed, it'd require his inner wolf to be awakened.

It meant he didn't use his normal strength. Yet, Liam was just twelve, and thus, his wolf was asleep still.

Wait a sec…

Liam did say something about his wolf being awakened back then when he was questioning him. Rhett had thought of it as a bluff back then as no young wolf was ever awakened before they clocked eighteen.

That Wasn't logically possible that Liam's wolf was awakening at twelve. But then again, based on his observations, Rhett had affirmed that Liam wasn't any regular young pup.
