"I knew it! I fucking knew it!" Lex said as he pumped his hand in the air, celebrating a victory my husband and I were unaware of.
"Lex, what are you talking about?" I asked my cousin as I tilted my head to the side.
Grandpa laughed from my side and shook his head.
"Grandpa and I had a bet," Lex proudly declared.
"It's not really a bet if we were betting on the same thing," Grandpa laughed. "We bet that Alexi loved you and whatever was the reason behind you breaking up wasn't because he didn't love you."
"Well, it was because of a misunderstanding," I said as I blushed.
"We should have communicated better," Alexi admitted.
"And do you love him back, Lili?" Grandpa asked me. "Did I do right by making you marry him?"
I nodded and smiled at my Grandfather.
"I've always loved him, Grandpa," I confessed. "I guess you could say Jason was a rebound."
