Capítulo 51: Anything for Her

By the time I realized what I had said it was too late.

I looked at Lilith first, she was glaring at me. At the risk of my life, I dared to look away and turn to her cousin.

Lex was clearly suppressing a laugh as he coughed. Next to him, my cousin was grinning like a Cheshire cat! I'd deal with the two of them later.

To my surprise, Taylor's jaw dropped in shock, he obviously was shocked by my complete loss of control. I couldn't help it when it came to Lilith, I just wanted to take away every inconvenience in her life.

Eventually, I turned my gaze to Lex's assistant, Cassandra.

She shared the same shocked expression as Taylor, but she clearly had no idea who Lilith was to me. 

"I can't let my employees talk shit about my fiancée's employee," I said as I coughed. 

It was the best excuse I could think of, and it was a valid one. I was here to protect all her interests.
