Capítulo 26: The 100 Tribal Warriors
Rolan and the others were dashing as fast as they could towards the location. The army were coping up with their speed and were also agile while navigating the forest.
They swerved as they evaded the trees while running in full speed. They also hopped from tree branches as they travelled. The army were armored but they exhibit speed that were rivalling the tribal masters. With their speed, they would arrive at the mage village in the afternoon.
Kuro was fast in his speed and notified Rolan that they were getting near. Rolan just nodded at him as a reply. The others nodded too and notified the army that they would battle anytime.
The underlings knew where the village was and so they guided the army there. With their speed, they managed to arrive at the location.
Decay wafted and the smell intensified more as they approached. They exited into the clearing and saw the village. The village was simple and had no protection. All houses were made of wood. The surroundings were full of signs of battle. Several exploded dirt were seen that had remains of mana in it.
As the army arrived, they saw undead that were all around the place. They draw their swords and they saw the corpses being devoured by the undead.
Upon their estimation, they were in 300s. Making it a tad hard to battle head on.
Soon after, they heard screams from afar and Rolan was alarmed. The undead saw them and started to move.
Raarrrrr!!!
They screamed and were full of energy. Mouths were agape as they craved for the flesh of the living. They attacked and soon, the army were alerted. All were in their high horse. Making them wanted to test their might to the enemies. They were all in their prime and were having a tribal class.
Using their skills on the enemies, they dashed and killed the undead by decapitating them. They knew their weakness was its head and so they slashed their heads off.
Slashing and kicking, the Berserkers slashed and cleaved the undead. Other undead leapt at them and they used their claws or two handed sword to attack. Brawlers snapped their necks as they chop smash their necks. Others twisted them.
The Lifestealers butchered them with their curved daggers and their necks were slashed. Making their heads fly off.
The Swordsmen were all in fast speed and they decapitated the undead in a jiffy. All were fast in their attacks and slash.
The Barbarians were hacking them with their axes and heads flew one after another.
The army were agile and were fast in eliminating the undead and so they all finished in a jiffy.
On the house nearby, it was teeming with undead and someone were trapped inside. Kuro lead the attack and the other tribal warriors attacked too. They were attacking the ones that were surrounding the house but they heard more screams from afar.
"Leave! This is a trap!" someone shouted from the inside the house.
Soon, wailings from afar were heard. From the houses nearby, the undead surged out and surrounded them.
"Looks like we will be having a hard time," Kuro said to Rolan.
"Don't worry master, we will eliminate them for you," Reynald said to him.
"These creatures know what ambush is? Damn!" Bane shouted.
"They are being controlled by a leader or an Overlord in my guess," Rolan said his hypotheses.
"Well, let's go all out!" Braun shouted. He roared and then used his war cry.
They were surrounded in just a fee seconds the the creatures were fast. Amounting another 300. They soon made a circle formation and the battle clashed with the teo opposing forces. The enemies attacked fiercely and they were taken aback.
Tribal warriors were forced to step back a bit as they were pushed.
And so, the Tribal masters attacked. Kuro dashed while slashing enemies. Braun slammed his two handed hammer and made the enemies into minced meat. Bane attacked and it made the enemies sent flying. Ella dashed and slashed enemies upon her path. Reynald used his berserker skill and cleaved enemies left and right.
Rolan then used his time to check the survivors and broke their barricade.
To his surprise, it was protected by a barrier. Making undead at bay and not get close.
"So it seems. What a bright idea." Rolan concluded.
They killed the enemies off and the fight was brutal. The enemies had speed and were agile too. But they were all slain by their weapons.
Upon their dismay only a family was left. And it was the family of Anna. Making her cry as she hugged them all. Upon counting, Rolan saw that they were only 4 of them. A mother, father, his brother and sister.
"Uwahhh! I though you all died.....hik hik!" Anna wailed at them.
"Its okay Anna, we are fine. Though the rest are dead. We can't save them." Rein, her father told her then pattef her head.
"This is big brother Rolan, he saved me, as well as you all. I am indebted to him." Anna said to his father.
His father then wept, tears flowed his cheeks and was biting his lips. He immediately kneeled and spoke, "Our lives are indebted to you, thank you for saving Anna, as well as the rest of our family. We will gladly repay it,"
Rolan was happy that they managed to save at least them. But it was not enough. They needed more army to fight the thousand hordes of undead. And so another plan was made.
