With a bright smile, Caleb Li sauntered out of the mercenary building, feeling the heavy weight of the gold on his skin under his clothes.

He left for the Inn and took a quick bath and ate a sumptuous meal. During the meal, he felt different and thought the food tasted more delicious than before.

Unknown to him, this was the effect of having enough money that he never believed he could easily acquire.

With such money, he believed he had nothing to worry about.

With the ecstasy coming from the gold, he slumped onto the bed and slept like a baby.

While he was sleeping like a baby, in a desolate part of the village, a middle-aged woman was whispering to a man who hid in the shadow.

After a couple of seconds, the woman covered her head with a veil and left quickly.

After the woman left, a menacing man came out from the shadow with a sinister smile on his face.
