Capítulo 3298: Chapter 2440: Battle of the Bats (13)_1

"So, the rough plan is this," Shiller said, holding a plan book to Nick, "But considering that David is Charles's son, after all, our plan involves experimental parts that may cause him unnecessary anxiety..."

"Don't worry, I won't let it slip," Nick said, "Just let Steven and Tony comfort him a bit, and following their plan shouldn't be a problem, after all, there's a risk in everything we do."

"We've had our share of extra plans before, but this time it involves Batman, so we need to be especially careful."

Nick looked down at the plan book in his hand and meticulously read through each line again before saying, "Actually, I can deal with the other parts, I believe in the professional capabilities of each Batman, who can surely unravel the secrets behind each personality; not only defeating them but also saving them."

"But, to transfer those personalities to physical bodies in the real world..." Nick sighed and said, "That will definitely involve risks, even if they have regained their rationality, it's hard to say whether they can perfectly control their powers in their new bodies."

Shiller stood up and said, "Risk comes with opportunity, think about how desperate our shortage of people is right now."

At the mention of this, Nick let out a mournful howl and said, "Magneto's almost got the knife to my neck, and I'm not a Mutant, and even if I were, where would I find him so many Omega-Level Mutants?"

"But his concerns are not without reason," Nick emphasized, "The Andromeda Galaxy is a great place; its star constitution, mineral resource distribution, and stellar lifespan are all very suitable; the civilizations around it have been coveting it for a long time. Magneto even personally took out a smuggled scout ship not long ago, the situation is getting more and more unstable."

After finishing, he looked at the plan book in his hand and said, "It seems we have no choice but to take this risk; with the power of over two hundred Omega-Level Mutants, the Mutants will have truly stepped onto the Interstellar Stage."

Leaving Nick's office, Shiller walked toward his own office in Battleworld, but halfway there, two people dashed out of the portal in a flurry.

The one leading was Helen, and just as Shiller was about to greet her, Helen covered her mouth frantically and shook her head urgently, gesturing a series of signs to Shiller.

Shiller didn't quite understand, but Doctor Strange simply gestured a toilet sign in an easily comprehensible manner.

Shiller pointed back, and Helen, without even looking, darted towards the portal and immediately transformed into a miniature Doomsday.

"Ugh—!!!"

A spiky figure was regurgitated, and Helen quickly reverted to human form, looking somewhat weakened as she knelt on the ground gasping for air. Doctor Strange helped her up.

"I swear, I'm never eating Batman again," Helen gagged repeatedly, covering her neck and saying, "He tasted like he had ten relatives die within a month, was hit by a car on the way to the cemetery, the driver fled the scene, and came home to find his only pet cat dead from accidental poisoning."

"The fact that you can make that comparison means your mind is still relatively normal."

"If I had waited any longer to vomit, I wouldn't be normal anymore," Helen swallowed and said, "I'm convinced there's something wrong with this guy; his taste is repulsively extreme."

"Where are we now?" Doctor Strange looked around, then noticed some landmark buildings in the city and said, "Oh, it's Paris; no wonder he pointed here when we were looking for a bathroom."

Taking a deep breath, Helen felt a bit better and looked down at the Doomsday Batman who had just stood up with a headache and said, "No matter where this is, we can't just leave him here unattended. This Batman is a bit too advanced for normal people."

Just as Helen was about to jump down and use force to knock out Doomsday Batman and carry him away, a figure suddenly appeared at the corner of the street. It wasn't until she appeared in the sight of Helen and Doctor Strange that they realized it was a punk woman.

"Who are you?" the woman asked warily, squinting her eyes, "What are you doing on Flame Gang's turf?"

The Doomsday Batman who had just struggled to his feet also wasn't in great shape. He had been mentally impacted by Helen, and her gastric acid, characteristic of Doomsday, apparently also physically assaulted him, dissolving half of his spikes, clearly hurting him badly.

"Who are you... Answer me!!!"

The last few words were shouted out in a roar, but this was not any special performance technique; accompanying those words, a tremendous wave of sound surged towards Doomsday Batman.

Helen and Doctor Strange had to shield themselves with their hands, also blowing away the just-standing, still unsteady Doomsday Batman.

But the massive Doomsday Batman did a backflip in mid-air and landed firmly, his huge claws ploughing a deep groove in the ground.

After standing up, he roared, his legs fiercely kicking off the ground, and in a lightning-fast motion, he pounced in front of the punk woman, extending his claws to send her flying.

The punk woman launched another sound wave attack, but this time Doomsday Batman was well-prepared; one arm spiked into the ground to anchor his body, while the other arm swung fiercely forward.

"Ah!!!"

With a scream, the punk woman was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.

Helen and Doctor Strange, standing on the rooftop, hesitated upon seeing this. Even though the woman clashing with Doomsday Batman didn't seem like a good person, under unclear circumstances, it didn't seem like a good idea to just let Doomsday Batman kill her.

Just as Helen was about to jump down to rescue her, a gigantic figure suddenly emerged at the end of the street.

The punk girl who was slammed onto the ground wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and looked up for a moment at the massive figure, shouting, "Sally! Save me!"

"Aaoooh!"

As the dust cleared, a corpulent woman was revealed, crouching halfway as she let out a high-pitched scream and lunged at Doomsday Batman.

Doomsday Batman immediately turned around; the two figures collided, but to everyone's surprise, Sally, who was much smaller than Doomsday Batman, held her ground firmly against his attack. She even managed to throw a punch that pushed Doomsday Batman back several steps.

Sally helped the punk girl to her feet, while Doomsday Batman let out a roar of frustration, and the two clashed once again.

"My word, is this woman a female version of The Hulk?" Helen exclaimed, "How can she be so strong?"

"I think we need to find a way to snap this guy out of it," Doctor Strange sighed, "This city looks very odd; we can't just let him continue rampaging like this."

"I agree," Helen said, "In fact, I have a way to extract the Doomsday Virus from his body, but it requires his cooperation. He would need to stay put for at least half an hour, so I can introduce my Destruction Day Spores into his bloodstream and draw out the other viruses."

"Then we will have to try knocking him out," Doctor Strange said, looking around, "Good thing that woman down there is distracting him. Let's find an angle to sneak attack and subdue him."

"Hold on, I only said I could get the virus out, not that he would survive," sighed Helen, "The concentration he injected is too high, and the quantity too much. It might have already completely replaced his blood, becoming a part of his circulatory system, just like the real Doomsday."

"If I remove the virus from his body now without finding a substitute, he will likely die due to the disruption in his circulatory system."

"Can't we simply give him a blood transfusion?"

"Imagine his body as an overstretched hose. The energy transferred by the Doomsday Virus is thousands of times more efficient than human blood. If we replace the Doomsday Virus with human blood now, the energy delivered by the blood will not be sufficient to sustain his body, and he will die from exhaustion."

"What should we do, then?"

"The issue isn't really with his action of injecting the Doomsday Virus. I suspect he has undergone thorough experiments and confirmed that his body can withstand it. So the issue lies with the Doomsday Virus itself," Helen pondered.

"Though I am not sure what the Doomsday in that cosmos is like, I believe its mental state would not be too normal. Thus, after entering Batman's body, the Doomsday Virus might have caused him to lose his mind," Helen continued.

"But my Doomsday Spores don't have that property. I can make sure they don't, so I plan to replace the virus in his body with my own Doomsday Virus."

"So he has to remain like this?"

"No, he can be like me and maintain a human form when not fighting. If he needs to fight, he can enlarge. Perhaps he can even assume a form larger than he is now, just like me."

"No need to be any bigger," Doctor Strange shook his head, "He's already ugly as is and doesn't need to draw more attention."

"Who are you calling ugly?!"

"Fine, let's just say not usually contributing to the appreciation of beauty," Doctor Strange leaped down, with Helen pouting and following behind him.

Doomsday Batman and Sally were fighting fiercely, two physical combatants that could only be described as bone-crushingly impactful—you punch me, I punch you, you lift me up, I body slam you out—the area of their brawl was left cratered from the impacts.

The woman known as Sally, though seemingly timid, was undeterred in combat and even had better tactics than the headstrong Doomsday Batman.

She sidestepped and pretended to be knocked down by a punch from Doomsday Batman, but then her left leg suddenly kicked out with tremendous force like a cannon shot, knocking Doomsday Batman to the ground.

"Now's our chance!" Doctor Strange swung his Magic Wand, and a Magic Cage descended from the sky; just as Doomsday Batman tried to get up, he hit his head on the Magic Cage, pausing for a moment.

Helen quickly transformed into her smaller Destruction Day self and pounced on Doomsday Batman, pinning him down and landing two solid punches.

Dazed by the sudden attack, Doomsday Batman struggled as Helen released the Destruction Day Spores, which swarmed into his mouth and nostrils.

Doomsday Batman started convulsing violently, grasping his neck, kicking, and fighting back, but ultimately, he spasmed and then went limp, losing consciousness.

"Who are you?" Sally, caught up in the fight, headed for another attack on Helen in her Doomsday form.

Helen, seeing this, did not retaliate but immediately turned back into a little girl, and Sally's fist stopped mere centimeters above her wet, wide eyes.

"Oh, my heavens! Whose child are you? Where are your parents?" Sally immediately snapped out of it and scooped up Helen in her arms.

In Sally's embrace, Helen turned and gave Doctor Strange an 'ok' sign with her hand, as he used magic to take away Doomsday Batman.
