Capítulo 18: Ch-18 The end of spar
I couldn't help but smirk at the hushed whispers from the onlookers.
The crowd’s astonishment was palpable, but I had to stay focused. Zenish was formidable, but I had tricks up my sleeve too.
Zenish, not missing a beat, as he conjured a barrage of fireballs that hurtled toward me.
Each one was a blazing inferno, and their sheer number was impressive.
I quickly created a shield of wind, deflecting the fireballs harmlessly away.
"You are really pushing it, huh?" I called out, feeling the thrill of the duel coursing through me, maybe I gave to get little serious.
"Only the best for you," Zenish replied, his grin unwavering, maybe he was feeling excited too.
Deciding it was time to up my game, I closed my eyes for a brief moment, concentrating my mana.
I summoned a storm of ice shards around my body, each one glinting menacingly in the light.
Swoosh!
With a flick of my wrist, they launched towards Zenish, at lightning speed.
He reacted swiftly, raising a wall of fire that melted the shards on impact. The flames were red in color.
The steam hissed and swirled around us, creating an ethereal battlefield.
"Not bad at all," he said, genuinely impressed, hinted by smirk of his. "But can you handle this?"
Zenish’s aura flared brighter as he began to chant under his breath, his mana coalescing into a massive sphere of energy.
It hovered above his head, crackling with raw power, sending the shockwave through the surrounding.
I could sense the intensity of his spell, and it excited me.
I mirrored his stance, summoning my own mana into a brilliant orb of light.
The ground trembled beneath us as our powers clashed.

“ holy fuck, these two are menace,”
“ That doesn't make sense, how are they capable of having such high tier spells in an instant? ”
“ True, it makes no sense at all, they are just first years like us but what is this battle… it feels like two gods fighting,”
“ I don't know fam, I am just eating popcorn and enjoying the battle,”

"On three?" Zenish suggested, his eyes locked onto mine.
"Three? Sounds good!" I confirmed, a confident smile playing on my lips.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Go!" We both shouted simultaneously.
We unleashed our spells, the two massive orbs of energy hurtling towards each other.
The collision was cataclysmic, a blinding flash of light and a deafening boom that shook the entire training ground, not to mention the barrier provided by the academy was instantly shattered, it's a good thing I acted quickly and created a new one instantly.
Nonetheless it also struggled to contain the explosion, but eventually it held strong. When the dust settled, we stood in the center of a scorched and steaming crater.

“Woah! What was that?”
“Damn, truly marvelous,”
“Shit! S-class are seriously monsters,”
“True… if I had such skills I would have gone to the Philippines and had a large harem,”
“Harem and you? Have you seen your face nigga?”
“Shut up both of you,”

The crowd erupted into cheers and applause.
Our classmates and even the teachers were visibly stunned, well it's clear our skills are far far superior to them.
Zenish walked over, “That was incredible," he said, his voice filled with genuine respect.
"Definitely," I agreed.
