John hastily searched the entire area, a sense of urgency propelling him forward. His desire to escape conflicted with his burning curiosity about Natasha's whereabouts. In the midst of this, Priya interjected, saying,
"Where did that woman go?"
John said without looking,
"Don't worry she will be fine and she's not a woman yet, just a girl. She's the same age as me."
That time Priya said,
"What are you saying June? She looked like she's 30 years old. And also you're the one who said she ran away 20 years ago. How can she be a girl?"
Frantically rummaging through his backpack, John sought another flashlight, realizing he had lost the one he originally had. As he searched, he said,
"She's just a girl. Not a real girl but a ghost. Still she remained in the form of a girl. Eh? Wait a second did you just call me June…?"
At that moment, John noticed Priya checking herself, a perplexed expression on her face. It was clear she was puzzled. Locking eyes with him, she said,
"June…!"
She looked at him with her puppy dog eyes. John became mad and said,
"Don't tell me this was an accident too. Are you doing this on purpose?"
Priya was possessed by Natasha. It happened when the demolition workers tried to destroy the house. The shockwave made Priya fall on top of Natasha and accidentally Natasha got inside of Priya. Natasha pouted and said,
"You always doubt me. I didn't touch her, it was her who fell on top of me."
John didn't have time to talk, he told her to get back on top and check out what's happening. At that time they heard a sound like something fell. They ran towards the sound and found that it was Donna. She was lying down on the floor like she fell from the top. John ran towards her and picked her up. He asked,
Donna, what happened to you? Are you okay? What are you doing here?"
He was holding her in his arms while he asked all this question. Natasha came near him and watched them. Donna was too embarrassed to say something. Natasha saw that and said,
"June… you should put her down before you ask all these questions?"
John looked at Natasha. She was smiling. He looked into his arms and he realized that she's right. Suddenly he put Donna down and laughed like a fool. Donna said,
"I'm fine. But my back still hurts a little. Who's this old lady? And why did she call you June? Is she your mother? She has a resemblance."
John looked at Priya. What resemblance is Donna talking about? He didn't understand. He said,
"She's a friend. That's not the problem here. What are you doing here? Are you following me?"
Donna because more embarrassed and said,
"What…? Why…? Why would I follow you John? It's not like that, I was just passing by. I saw your vehicle and thought I should say hai."
John looked at her suspicious and asked,
"Why were you passing by here? Your house isn't this way. Your school isn't this way your church or town or not even a friend you have in this place."
Natasha looked at him with curious eyes. She asked,
"How did you know this much about her?"
John avoided that question to hide his embarrassment. He told Donna to try and get up by the rope. But he knew she's untrained to do something like that so he looked at Natasha. She said,
"Donna, close your eyes till I say to open it. I'm going to do magic."
Donna didn't understand what it meant. She looked at John and he said to trust her. Donna closed her eyes and Natasha picked her up. Natasha flies to the upper room and puts her down over there. She stood there closed her eyes with her hands. Then Natasha came down there and picked up John and flew upward.
John was so close to priyas chest. He felt something attracting him towards it, but he closed his eyes and tried to imagine something else. He was still holding the sword he picked up from the basement. For some reason he felt that the sword kept some stories within itself.
Natasha told Donna to open her eyes and she opened it. She was amazed to see that she was outside the basement. That time Natasha felt something. It was the feelings and thoughts of Priya coming to her. She said,
"June. We must get out of this place soon. There is a lot to tell you."
John walked out and on the way he asked Donna,
"Still you didn't tell me why you came here?"
She looked down and said,
"I was passing through here and saw some people getting ready to destroy this house. I saw your vehicle outside and hoped that you were inside. I sneaked up behind and came in. When they hit this house I lost my sense of direction and ended up falling into the basement. Luckily I'm okay."
She said that and smiled. John could clearly see the pain in her smile. But he didn't say anything. He looked at Natasha and she nodded in agreement. While they were about to go out, Dan and some other police officers along with Ben came into the house. Dan said,
"John… What were you thinking coming into a house that was about to be demolished? Are you out of your mind?"
John and others walked outside. He said,
"Sir. What is the meaning of this? Who gave you permission to destroy this house? You know the rule. Every house, every property, every asset that is abandoned by a person in our religion belongs to the church. Do you have the permission? If there is then show me."
It's a rule in John's world in order to keep any abandoned asset safe. It also helps the children in the orphanage.
Dan calmly said,
"Look John this isn't the arrangements of the police, it's all ordered by father Sebastian."
John became angry and said,
"Father Sebastian isn't the church. He's not even an administrator. How can he order such a thing?"
Dan exhaled and said,
"I'm just following orders, John."
While they were arguing John saw Priya (Natasha) was taken by some police officers. Natasha said,
"June… save me…"
John stopped them and asked,
"Now why are you arresting her? Is this ordered by father Sebastian as well?"
Dan said,
"John, please let us do our job. She is an escaped prisoner from the church. We must take her back there. It's an order. And yes it's an order l from father Sebastian."
John lost his total control and he pulled out his card from his pocket. He said,
"Look at this, this is a card that approves me to do anything anywhere. You know that right (Dan nodded in agreement) have you ever seen one like this on father Sebastian or anyone else? He only has pre-approval for an exorcism. He doesn't have any power over the police or the politicians. On the other hand I have the authority to order you. Still didn't do it. All I did was to ask you to do things for me. Just act up to your own value sir. Just don't blindly follow orders whoever gives you that."
( In John's world the church has authority over police, politics, or the military. They are creating rules in their favor. There are also some card's. Red card with the value to go to any place or any country. Yellow cards can have anything they want and they can go anywhere. A priest with a yellow card can do an exorcism without asking permission. Father Sebastian has a yellow card. The blue card can do all of them and they have some authority over the police. Green is the most valuable card which has total control over the system. John has a green card.)
Dan felt John was telling the truth. He always felt that other people were over pressuring him. They didn't let him do his work properly. He told the subordinates to let her go.
Dan said,
"John. It's not because who has the authority. It's because they have enough hold on the politicians to influence us."
The black and white fur cat was sitting there watching them closely.
John was about to say something but that time Father Sebastian arrived at that place in his car. Everyone looked at his car and he came out of his vehicle and asked,
"What is happening here? I told you to destroy this house, and you guys why haven't you arrested this woman yet. I have given you specific orders to follow. This boy also should be in custody."
John looked at father Sebastian and opposed him for the first time. He said,
"Who gave you permission to destroy this house or to give such an order to the police? Did you already forget my authority? The card I hold?"
Father Sebastian laughed and said,
"Your card has been revoked. You are nothing now. Just an insignificant boy interfering with the work of a great priest…"
