Capítulo 25: Date with Mai
"Good, it fits"
I nodded my head as I looked at the newly dressed Mai. The clothes I gave her weren't much, they were to a commoners standard, a little cream colored skirt and a light blue satin shirt that was neatly tucked in, her jet black hair fell perfectly on her shoulders with tiny strands that kept on getting in her face despite of her attempting to tuck them behind her flushed ears. Even with such clothes her beauty couldnt be concealed, the clothes she wore now gave her the impression of a unique yet prideful lady.
"Thank you master"
Mai replied in a shy tone.
"S-so how do I look?" She was too shy to look Toji in the eyes.
"You're beautiful" Toji said while smiling, he patted her head.
'i-isnt this technically a date?' mai thought to herself.
'calm down calm down. I have to take the first step. Or else Toji Sama will never pay attention to me.' she gulped before saying,
"So w-what are we doing master?"
"We're going on a date"
' this is probably what she wanted in the first place.'
"A date?"
"Yes. Consider it as a reward for your loyalty to me."
Startled Mai looked at me shyly, I nodded my head as I walked towards Mai taking her hands as I intertwined them with mine,
"Okay, master" Mai was barely maintaining her composure.
Breaking out of her daze Mai nodded her head, something sticking deeply in her heart, I enjoyed her reactions as I kept holding her hand, this time my gentle eyes caught her off guard.
"Let's go"
And soon we disappeared from the room through a black portal, a few minutes later we were walking through the streets that were dedicated to couples, it was bright and decorative, different stalls were placed that gave different challenges to others.
"Feeling excited?"
I spoke but In reaction Mai simply nodded her head. I pulled her as I reached the stall that had a shooting game with, different couples were trying their best to win a reward, it was a simple game where you had to use a dull bow to knock down a gift that's moving at super speed, shuffling here and there.
We kept a bet that we couldn't use chaos or cursed energy and we waited for some time and it was soon our turn, I turned towards Mai,
"What do you want?"
Hearing my question Mai started to look around the different items kept on the shelf, soon her eyes landed on gold and red hairpin, that had a design of a butterfly, it was the hardest one to get as it was on the top and was completely hidden by the others that were moving in front of it, not to forget that fact that since it was small hitting it would be much harder,
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Toji Sama, if it it's too mu-
"Shhhhhh. Relax."
Hearing her response I shrugged my shoulder as I took up the bow, its weight was imbalanced, the arrow itself didn't have much weight, and it would be extremely difficult to hit the target that Mai chose, but I didn't worry, my posture was fixed, the arrow in my hand was placed on the bow, I took a deep breath as my eyes became calm.
The surrounding around me vanished as I gazed at the prize high above, each of them kept shuffling but it wasn't that effective on me, Even if I didn't spend any time with physical training , this was like stealing candy from a baby.
my muscles contracted as my breath left my mouth and along with it so did the arrow, people around us who were aiming at the prizes down below only saw a blur and the next moment a thud was heard as the hairpin had fallen.
Silence remained for a moment before which loud cheers started to be heard, the shop owner moved forward as he presented the hairpin to me, his face almost filled with tears as I took away his most prized possession, I smilingly took it and under Mai's surprised eyes as I gently placed the pin on her head.
'is this how it feels to be in love?' need less to say Mai's mind was in another place right now.
Looking into my gentle smile a blush came to her face, it would seem that a small situation like this still affected her.
CLAP...CLAP...CLAP
Soon claps filled the surroundings as everyone applauded for my splendid display, the girls gave Mai an envious gaze,
"Let's go!"
I didn't let Mai recover as I pulled her toward the next adventure that awaited us.
Pulling Mai we kept moving forward, looking at Mai I could see that her eyes were a bit lost, my action right now had spooked her, well how wouldn't it? This whole time I hadn't reacted in any way to her advance or taken any actions that indicated that I had any interest in her.
'welll whatever I need some spice in my life.'
'the sudden change in treatment might have spooked her. But whatever.'
"So is there the place that you wanted to visit?"
I asked Mai, who looked at me as she shook her head,
"No, I don't know much about this area"
"I see.....then let's see what that's about"
Saying so I pointed at a stall that looked busy, on its top a words were printed
[How Much Do You Know?]
I pulled Mai to the counter. Although I didn't know much about Mai but this would be fun.
"T-toji sama isn't this game for couples?"
'does this mean Toji Sama likes me?' Mai blushed at the thought.
"Doesn't matter. We came here to have fun."
"So who will be the one answering?"
The man asked, hearing it I walked forward,
"M-
"No. It will be me Toji Sama." Mai summoned her confidence before finally speaking.
"Okay, please take a seat here"
Nodding her head Mai took a seat on one of the stools while i took the other one, the game here is simple, a series of questions relating to me will be asked to Mai and before she answers i will be given a board to write the answer, and once she answers i would have to turn the board to show the correct answer,
'i have to suprise Toji sama with this one. Maybe if I win he'll give me a reward hehehehe.' Mai started daydreaming.
"Let's start, shall we?"
"Sure"
I agreed and soon Toji was given a board, while the man held in his hand several questions, looking at me he began,
"So, what is your boyfriend's favorite food?"
And with that, the time began as Toji sama started to write on the board but for me, it didn't even take a second as I answered,
"Meat and Offal,he prefers it with more salt. Whearas his least favourite food is Alcohol (he can't get drunk)."
And as I answered I could see Toji Sama's suprised face.
'hehehehe. I know everything about you Toji sama.'
As Toji turned the board displaying the answer that I spoke, and the man holding the questions nodded his head as he continued,
"Good, now what is his favorite book?"
Toji thought for a long time before shrugging and he wrote his answer and once it was done I spoke,
"He doesn't like reading books. But if magazines are included he likes reading playboy magazines though his most read and liked edition would be the November 1972 edition."
'how did she know that? I thought I hid them properly in the house?' Toji felt sweat fall down from his forehead.
And once again I was right as Toji displayed the same answer without any shame, then the man continued,
"What does he like to do when he's free?"
"Meditate, train his physical strength or else play with his purple pet."
Once again the answer was correct.
"What's his dream?"
"To become the strongest in the world while having fun along the way."
"What does he do when he's feeling reaaaaaly bored?"
"He goes and gambles with his father and his father'd friends."
"What do you think is the most beautiful about him?"
In this question, I looked towards Toji sama gentle smile taking over my face,
"It's his will to never give up no matter what, it's his kindness, his body and everything about him. The way he smiles, the way he treats me, the way he eats his food, his strength."
As Mai went on her face became redder and redder and her voice became as quiet as a mosquito at the end.
And soon I answered the rest of the questions that were thrown at me, each once flawless than the last, by the end of it Toji was looking at me with bewildered eyes, I could tell that I had taken him by suprise with what I did.
"Wow you earned a 100% affinity rate, you really love and know your boyfriend."
The person at the counter gave Mai a thumbs up.
"Yeah, I-i do"
I nodded my head, then the man turned toward Toji,
"do you want to go next?"
"There's no need" Toji just smiled awkwardly.
'if I answered right now I would just get embarrassed because I don't really know anything about Mai. I shouldn't have taken this game.' Toji just smiled at his stupidity.
'it looks like Toji sama doesn't know much about me...' Mai's eyes turned dark as she thought about it.
'doesnt matter. I'll make sure he knows everything about me sooner or later hehehehe.' she started grinning crazily outside.
"Where did you even learn about all of this Mai?"
"Uh.... as your maid I have to make sure that everything is up to your tastes."
"Hah? Is that so? Well then you're doing a good job." Toji patted her head once again.
As they walked out of the Amusement park with popcorn in their hands Toji remembered something important.
"Let's head there" Toji pointed to the theatre that was just a few steps away to their right.
'if my calculations are correct, that movie will release today.'
"You want to watch a movie, Mai?"
"Uhm yes, I haven't seen one before in a theatre."
"Which one are we going to watch, Toji sama?"
'hehehe maybe he picked a romantic movie for us.'
"The human centipede" Toji grinned before pointing his finger at the poster.
"What?" Mai just looked confusedly at Toji.
'looks like I'm not going to have a romantic night after all.' mai was colored in a grimey shade of disappointment .
"It's because someone important is coming to see this movie too."
'Yuji itadori, I can't wait to meet you.'
