Austin didn't pick up the call. I called twice but he didn't pick up. When I realized it was pointless, I stopped and played a game instead. After all, we would soon reach the mansion. Just as I thought, it didn't take long before we reached. Even after the ride, Mr Greystone continued to act aloof, like there were ten million things that were interesting and worth his attention than me.

Aside Austin, he was basically the only person around for me to interact with. The maids always scurried away whenever I came near. The longest a maid had said toe was a sentence. They would always look for a way to avoid a reasonable conversation with me. Mr Slander, the grumpy assistant was ever polite that even a toddler would know he was faking it.
