Capítulo 186: Day One: I Got Diagnosed

Sarah's POV:

The policemen left the ward, and father looked paler compared to before he had gone to jail. "Talk with your dad," Jacob stood up and left.

I walked down the bed and took a few steps towards my father. "I am sorry," I apologized before he pulled me in for a hug.

"I am sorry for not being a good daughter and for not coming to see you and mother."

How could I just abandon them that way? Now my mother is gone, I will never get the chance to see her again. Maybe I will.

"What are you saying? We failed you, and you are still apologizing?"

"Father…"

"Sarah, listen to me." He broke the hug and cupped my face in his hands.

"You are strong. Jacob explained to me that you are sick, and I know you will surpass this. Because you have always been strong."

I shook my head in denial. "I am going to die, father; it's like... like my brain got affected by some virus that can't be cured."
