Capítulo 23: It will be rude to leave me hanging

The third point of view

"So, it is really true. You are getting married to alpha Elpis." Karla couldn't believe it and if I am honest, I still don't believe it. I mean I know we don't love each other. What if he finds his mate sometime after we are married, what will become of me? but I don't want to think about that. The only thing important right now is finding my pack and I am so thankful to him for his help.

Karla's face changed, "But you don't love him." she said, "you are still obsessed with Crane, aren't you?"

"Honestly, I don't know. I just know I don't love him anymore, not after everything he and his brother did to me."

Karla and I talked and I missed this. We caught up with everything that happened in the Crescent Moon castle.

"How exactly did Elpis bring you here?" I asked. I was really curious because I knew it was close to impossible. I had a plan crafted for her escape but I didn't need to use it anymore.

"Honestly, I don't know. As I was cleaning, Eliot sent for me and as I entered, I saw Elpis there. Eliot looked angry and he just told me to go with him. I didn't understand anything but I think I was sold." She narrated as she took a bite of some of the cake on the table.

It still seemed weird to me. I have lived in that castle since I was born and I know Eliot, he can never do something like that. He can never sell one of the captives especially when he knows now that everyone suspects him. I still wondered what Elpis did to convince him. I just hoped it wasn't something that would cause us trouble later.

"Oh, and Elpis said I should give you this." She said and handed me an invitation card. Crescent Moon was throwing a party to celebrate their alliance with Lydia's pack.

"He said I should tell you that the both of you are going but he will meet you there." She told me.

Was this good news or bad news? What will happen when I go to that party for the party? I was a little bit confused but I had to trust Elpis. He knows what he is doing- I think.

With the help of Karla and some of the maids, I got dressed. I wore a green velvet dress with gold embroidery. They braided my hair and put some flowers in it as well.

"You look so beautiful my lady." One of the maids said.

Yes, I do look beautiful. Maybe too beautiful for the occasion. I got into the carriage and we got there as soon as we could. By the time we were there, people were on the dance floor and the room was full. I looked around and I saw Crane and Eliot talking to some of the guests. I am sure Lydia would be somewhere around here. I scanned the room and looked for Elpis but I couldn't see him.

"You look beautiful." I heard a familiar voice. I turned and it was just the person I was looking for. He was wearing a green suit with gold embroidery. We were matching. He was holding a glass of wine in his hand.

"Why are we here? That wasn't the plan." I told him. He looked at me calmly and smiled. He took a sip of the wine in his hand and dropped the rest in the tray of the waiter close by.

"Dance with me." he held out his hand.

He has to be kidding. We are trying to have a conversation and he wants to dance?

"It will be rude to leave me hanging." His hand was still held out and he gave me one of those weird smiles.
