Capítulo 158: Rise

He had taken her by the hand, dragging her towards the dock without further notice. Aurelia was on the border of a smile. If she knew danger would throw out his rule of touching, she would have screamed his true name to the heavens. She giggled at that thought. 

Amused, she channeled Arcana into her throat in the pattern he taught her to, and Soul Whispered to him. "You think they'll find you?" 

"Us." Zariel recoiled, his grip unconsciously tightening."They'll not let you go. They'll either eat you or kill you. Your existence is simply too dangerous." 

"Would you eat me?" She blinked, unable to believe she had ever spoken those words. 'When did I get so brazen! God! I'm acting like a man. A dog with a bone!'

Zariel did not seem to catch the deeper meaning. "I guess. Most tend to avoid eating humanoid, but you are surely thick enough."
