Lenny unhurriedly walked up the street to his apartment building. 

Finally having some idle time, he switched on his phone, which to his surprise, had 16 missed calls.

Entering his call app, he saw that 10 of them were from Mike, 3 were from unknown numbers, and 2 were from his mother—Sarah.

Upon seeing that, his eyes widened in horror. 'Was Ma informed that I was detained? Who informed could've her? Wait, there's no need to panic. I didn't give Detective Smith her info, and no one I know since I started living in Montreville knows of her.

'Plus, she only called twice, just as I told her to so I won't be disturbed at work. It's all just a coincidence then, that she called when I was detained. I should still call her later to confirm though…'
