Capítulo 54: Keeping Secrets

Jack Harrison arrived at the mansion right after breakfast. He gave Natalie a quick hug, then specifically asked to speak with Alonso privately.

As Natalie's eyes moved up to the clock on the wall, time seemed to crawl like a turtle. The tight knots in her stomach tightened further, and her mind wandered in every direction conjuring up scenarios of what her uncle might be discussing with Alonso.

Her thighs began to nag at her for pacing around her room too fast and non-stop. None of what was happening beneath this roof made sense anyhow, and it continued to make less sense now that her uncle was a part of it.

Unable to contain her nerves any longer, she took a deep breath and decided to go where the two men who excluded her were. If they won't ask her to be a part of the ongoing conversation, then she could just invite herself and be a part of it, can't she?
