After A Week, E-Rank Muscular Zombie Appears!

On the large dining table in the dining room, cooked food was placed neatly and Kayden was wearing a butler attire as he started placing the food he cooked on it.

Winston and Ayame sat on their chairs respectively while waiting for Kayden to finish his job. After Kayden placed all of the food, he sat on his chair as well and ate with Winston and Ayame.

Kayden was already used to the life of doing chores in this zombie-apocalyptic world.

After all, it has already been a week since the start of Zombie Survival Online.

Due to the lack of maids and butlers in Winston's mansion, Kayden is the one who completes all of those vacant jobs such as cleaning the mansion or cooking food for Ayame and Winston.

Of course, Ayame and Winston weren't idle as well. When zombies dared to break into the mansion's gate, Winston would kill it from afar and Ayame would kill any zombies that slipped past by.

There were also occasional encounters with human survivors attempting to break into the mansion to take over the mansion as their base. However, they all failed due to Ayame and Winston's retaliation.

Kayden didn't have to get involved in fighting and since he didn't have to risk his life, he was pretty much comfortable with his job.

Furthermore, Kayden would get occasional shooting lessons from Winston on how to use guns. Even Ayame would often teach Kayden on training his body as well as using martial arts to take down enemies.

During the past week, the relationship between Kayden, Winston, and Ayame had developed to the point that they trusted each other.

While Winston was eating, he thought, 'It has been a week since the game started and only 489 players have survived and the rest have died.'

'Those who have survived till now are mostly due to their skills and only a few had survived due to luck. There are also a few other players who had obtained special event items but even if they encountered us, they would still lose.'

'However, the zombies had already started mutating and it won't be long until the first E-rank zombie started building up its zombie army.'

'Those normal zombies with no abilities aside from infecting others with the zombie virus are just mere F-rank zombies. However, if a zombie reaches E-rank and above, they will start developing abilities such as possessing stronger bones or skin than others or having sharper fingernails.'

'There are even some zombies who will awaken superpowers such as elemental ones. Furthermore, E-rank zombies will have an evolution crystal inside their brain which is a condensation of viral energy. As long as a human consumes and absorbs it while keeping their humanity at the minimum of 50%, they will successfully become an awakener.'

Even when Weiss had that information advantage due to being the creator of this game, he didn't plan to inform Ayame and Kayden about it.

In other words, he only planned to inform them of what Winston, the special NPC, would normally tell other players after encountering an E-rank zombie.

Since he took the role of Winston, Weiss didn't want to show any flaws in his acting and he found this kind of role-playing as entertaining. No wonder others love acting and drama.

Ayame who was his younger sister didn't even know that it was him who was playing the role of Winston.

After the three of them ate their lunch, they heard the loud sound of the mansion gate being banged by strong force.

Ayame and Winston were the first to react as they peered through the windows to check on the situation outside.

On the other hand, Kayden was busy washing the dishes and he didn't care much about what happened outside since he had confidence that Ayame and Winston could deal with it.

What Ayame and Winston saw outside was a muscular zombie that was three feet tall. Behind that muscular zombie was a bunch of average zombies and it seemed to be following the muscular zombie, treating it as their leader.

With every slam of the muscular zombie towards the mansion gate, the mansion gate slowly deformed and it couldn't withstand the muscular zombie's brute force.

Observing the muscular zombie deform the mansion gate, Ayame commented, "As I expected, zombies can evolve. Otherwise, it's too unlikely that a death game like this will be too easy."

"Most zombie survival games that I have played as well have this difficulty feature. The only problem is whether humans could evolve too."

Hearing Ayame's comment, Winston replied, "Evolved zombies or not, we still have to kill it and repair the mansion gate. We can't let the zombies enter the mansion's area or else we won't have access to the garage."

Taking out his two pistols, Winston didn't go outside yet but headed to the armory to fetch his backpack. He stored some grenades and extra ammo in his backpack before wearing it.

In response, Ayame already went outside with her metal bat to observe the zombies and prevent them from entering the mansion if they ever broke the mansion gate.

Wanting to do his best to help, Kayden quickly washed the dishes and afterward, he headed to the armory as well to fetch a sniper rifle.

With the three of them already armed, Winston went outside while Kayden went to the balcony to snipe those zombies.

The muscular zombie punched the mansion gate and broke it, causing it and the rest of the zombies to flood inside the mansion's area!
