Quinlan didn't try to challenge the guards and stopped at an appropriate distance from them. After that, he let go of the bear's corpse and walked the rest of the way forward, until they were within each other's hearing range.

"Excuse me, but why did the guards mobilize?" He asked. "Is there perhaps some danger approaching?"

From within the guards, one who wore the most expensive-looking armor stepped forward, looking at Quinlan as if he were some weirdo.

"We were called right after the scouts on top of the wall saw the Grand Blue Bear approach. Such a monster would require our entire army to subjugate, so everyone is nervous!"

"Grand Blue Bear?" Quinlan asked, tilting his head.

He turned around, looking at the monster he hunted, and asked. "Is that different from a Blue Bear?"
