The dead body continued to become heavier by the second, and Meria decided to put it down and check inside it ultimately.

He put the doll down and cut open a little bit of the skin in the only patch of sunlight he could notice.

The inside was filled with black powder that smelled horrible, and Meria immediately put up a water shield.

He did not know why he did that either, but Meria's instincts made him form that shield minutes before an explosion occurred.

The body burst into flames, and the magnitude of the explosion was not small.

Fire immediately gripped the surrounding trees, causing them to burn.

Meria was lucky he had managed to form the water barrier in time. It absorbed the heat, and Meria was able to avoid heavy burns.

His arms and face still hurt, but a little healing magic would be enough to take care of it.
